<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nene is believed to be searching for a contract worth about $10 million annually, similar to what New York's Eddy Curry and Philadelphia's Samuel Dalembert signed for this offseason.

Dalembert's career highs for a season are 8.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, while Nene's are 11.8 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Detroit, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta are teams believed to be interested in Nene, and the latter two should have plenty of salary cap room to make him a big offer if they choose next year. </div>

I want Nene on the Bulls, but I wouldn't pay him that much.

Nene has a far brighter future then SD, from what they have sown so far in their carriers, there for I see why he would want a contract along the lines of what SD received, but at the same time a lot of the teams that are looking to acquire him (Bulls and Hawks for ex) will not be willing to pay him that much money. Although, the Hawks have money to spare they also have a lot of young talent to resign in the future, as do the Bulls. Neither franchise is looking to overpay for a player, but can you really put a price on a great big man in the NBA these days?

I am not really fond of this decision, it is just another big man who isn't a true center. We may turn into the Knicks of past years where there weakness was a lack of a true center.

Are you kidding me? The problem with the Knicks teams the past couple of years is that they where full of undersized power forwards playing center and power forward. Nene is a 270 pound 6?11?-7? beast. How do you figure he is not a true center. He is capable of playing either position, and though when he entered the draft he was listed as a power forward he did play a lot of center in Brazil. He is the same size as Curry, and a lot more mobile, I don?t know how he would not be considered a true center.

^^ agreed, he's as true of a center as you're gonna get in todays nba, if we turn down him for not being a true center who are we gonna go get that is one?

Nene was injured last night after being on the court for 2 minutes. His knee completely gave out on him and he was carried off the court. The team doctors say he has a sprained ACL and his return has not been determined yet.

He makes Baron Davis and Vince Carter look dependable.

If somebody gives him that kind of money, their name better be Isiah Thomas or something is very wrong in the NBA.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Denver Nuggets announced today that an MRI performed on forward Nen? revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament, a medial collateral ligament sprain and a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee. He will likely miss the remainder of the season.

Nen? suffered the injury in the first quarter of last night's game against San Antonio. He will undergo knee surgery on a date to be determined.

The fourth-year forward has appeared in 213 games for the Nuggets over his career, averaging 10.7 ppg and 6.2 rpg.

The Nuggets have moved Linas Kleiza to the active list and moved Nen? to the inactive list for tonight's game vs. the L.A. Lakers</div>

I'm still not going to call Nene injury prone he played 80 games his rookie season, 77 the next season, then last year he had a rough year only playing 55, and this year was just a freak injury. He has had some bad luck thats all.

Well this bad way to start a season Nene. I remember Kmart going into the locker room early to and I thought something serious happened to him too. The bright side, we will see Kleiza get minutes.
