Head Coach Maurice Cheeks is also ready for the real games to begin. After running his first preseason with the 76ers, Cheeks is ready to take on the challenges of the regular season. "I'm ready to get started," he said. " I'm ready to get the season going, to start playing for meaningful reasons as opposed to preseason or training camp." "I know he's nervous," said Iverson in regards to opening night. "But, honestly, I'm really pulling for him. It's been a long month and I know he's ready to play a game for real in front of our fans. I know I am." Iverson, who has been battling injuries, is just as excited to start the season as anybody else. "I can't wait 'til they throw the ball up. The Sixers aren't the only ones ready. Everybody is saying the 76ers have a chance..... but I honestly think they will be prooved wrong.
Can't wait for the season to start. This team is the best team I think King has put together since Larry Brown's days but the only problem is that the two stars are aging and will not have as big of an impact the year after this.
