I need more games to watch than what thescore or sportsnet currently offer... Just scanning through the raps tv website, the have games like every night or everyother night... Just wanted to know ur thoughts ...thx
You can order Raptors TV by itself for $2.49 a month. I've had it for two years now and it's certainly worth it. The best part of Raptors TV is the TNT double-headers, which are always the best games around and feature commentary from Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and gang. Has NCAA games every Monday and international games as well. Hardwood Classics, documentaries and analysis programs are definitely worth the price of a hot dog.
There must be other costs to obtain Raptors TV though, don't you need a HDTV box or something? Doesn't that have a monthly fee or a large installation fee or initial cost fee? How much did it realistically cost initially and how much does it cost to keep Raptors TV? Sorry if this sounds like a bombardment of questions, just cause I would love to have Raps TV for $2.50 a month that is ridiculously cheap.
It all depends on where u live, most places u need the digital box to watch Raptors TV and if you already have the box, it's around 3 bucks more, however the theme pack is around 8 bucks like someone said up there ^. Also the digital box is like another 10 or 15 bucks extra for rent each month, so you'll end up paying more. Different places has different offers.

I think that's about $10 bucks a month to rent, and then you add on whatever package you had on cable. Getting the box means you can also order other specialty channels like Leafs TV, NFL Sunday Ticket, and a lot more.
I'm going to miss all the extra NBA games they had on Sportsnet and TSN last year because of the hockey strike.
^^^ me too... Note: $5.98 to rent the box, $2.50 for Raps TV Free for 2 months all these specialty channels but u have to cancel after 2 months...
So if someone wants to go from cable up to channel 60 to same cable package + Raps TV it will cost an additional 8.50 a month?
its totally worth it. couple extra bucks a month? why not!? so yea, you have to have star choice, or bell express view or somethin like that, but thats not an extra cost. you'd be paying for cable tv either way, and these days, the prices are comeditive between digital satelite and regular cable...personally it makes more sense to have a digi-statlite and get all th extra channels for the same price basically. throw on an extra 1.75 (thats what i pay extra for raptors tv) and its all good

thanks for the advice guys..... reading this thread actually got me inspired to get off my ass and get rapstv. I didn't realize how cheap it would be and I also didn't realize they show other games around the league too. I always figured they just showed crappy programs that weren't all that interesting and some old nba games... anyways i just got rapstv through the internet just an hour ago and I was actually surprised how fast it was..... i just logged into my rogers cable account, clicked on the links to add a channel, then within like 5 minutes of making my selection I had RapsTV showing up on my screen.......
