Just because PJax might not be the coach when Bynum develops it means Bynum will be a bust? I wish he made some predictions on what Bynum will do in the next two or three seasons. I do agree the Lakers can be a surprise team this year. The expectations are low, but the talent is definitely there for a strong season. The Lakers will get off to a slow start and play inconsistent basketball. However, the team can make a second half push if they learn to work within the Tri, and trust each other on defense. The Lakers could give a top 4 seeded team a war in the first round of the playoffs.
How do you predict how/why a guy will bust? We all know that he's in college for the next 4 years anyway. Arent there bigger issues in L.A.? Who knows he might develope in 2 years. Who knows when any player will break out. BUt off of the subject, this is part of the reason there are so few quality bigmen today. The collegiate experience does wonders for the successful bigman. Gets ur confidence and strength up for the next level. But baby steps dont exist any more. Little boys wanna bang with Big Daddy. GL LAkers!

I think at most they can be a 6th seed if things come together for them. Even if the Lakers get swept by the Spurs they can still make it a war by giving themselves an opportunity to win any of those games. If the Lakers can keep it close in the series it gives them something to build on for next year and catches the attention of the league, which should make free agency easier.
