    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Maverick:</div><div class="quote_post">Definately, he scored about 12 of our runs including 3 three's!

Man, Dallas with 4.4 seconds left with the ball at halfcourt.

    My hitpick
    - Howard inbounds to Terry
    - Terry draws the double
    - Passes it to Daniels, who misses the shot</div>

Are you a cricket fan, Maverick? Anyway Mavs played a pretty good 4th quarter and overtime to get the season opened on a positive note.

Good win for the Mavs tonight, but a couple things. First, you may have won, but just remember, they didn't have Amare. If Amare had been able to play, this game could have been entirely different. Second thing, you guys need a new center. You got absolutely no production out of Dampier and Diop. And, with the amount you shelled out for Dampier (god knows why), he should be doing a lot better then 6pts and 8bds. If you don't get production out of that spot at some point this year, you might end up playing small ball, and in the West, that's not the greatest idea. Nonetheless though, aside from your useless centers, the Mavs played an overall good game. I just wonder if it'd have been any different if Amare was healthy and playing, instead of injured for 3 more months.

^ Mavs didnt have Stackhouse or Finley either, and getting a road win on season opener is a good effort IMO. I think it was the matchup problem that caused Damp and Diop to sit on the bench. Heck Marion was their center for the entire OT. I expect better contributions from them against Utah tonight.

Exciting game, every team needs a Steve Nash to pass the rock around.

I thought the Mavs were done for at least five times in this game after Jason Terry bricked 3 clutch free throws. Dirk Nowitzki cleaned up his mess and the Mavs pulled it out in double OT. The unsung hero tonight was Darrell Armstrong, he was great on defense against Nash and chased him all over the court. How about the move put on by the 37 year old blowing by Nash for a layup?

Great way to open up the season!

That game was good. I nearly gave up on this game. I'm glad I kept watching. Dirk came through in the end. Nash had a great game too.
