Cant the guy do anything? He cant rebound. He cant box out. He cant score. What good is he!!!! The first regular season game was well in reach, but from what I saw, Mihm just let them roll over him.....
If I were a Laker fan, I'd be more angry with Kwame Brown-it seems like he's still very mechanical and almost uncomfortable witih the ball, and I felt like every time they gave him the ball, he turned it over or made an odd play

I don't know, I saw a composed Kwame in the second half. He was given the ball twice in the 4th quarter, and twice he used his speed to burn his opponent for easy baskets. Odom completely neglected him in the first half, I'm not pissed at Brown at all (although, I am a fan) and I don't think Laker fans should be, I think they should be pissed at Odom for not distributing.
Im still really pissed at Mihm. He has not done anything. The game was over if he had made both he FT. He cant even do that.

Maybe I only saw the bad EDIT: This actually has been a pretty sloppy game for both teams-both with 20+ turnovers, lots of offensive fouls. :firstgameoftheyear:

As for the travel, I don't know, I thought his pivot stayed put, I watched it 4 times on TiVo. He needs to be involved more, and I think Kobe knows that, becuase he was pointing the ball in Kwame's direction a couple of plays in the 4th, Lamar needs to recognize that too. BTW, much consolation

I think Kwame should get 8-12 shots per game at least. Give him a chance to dominate, as it stands right now, he feels pressured to make a play everytime he gets the ball. If he has it in his hands he will become comfotable and feel free to play his game. Yes- odom did miss some crucial passes, but he still filled the stat box as the main distributor. I trust Phil will get on him about it. I was actually happy to see the last play drawn for Kwame, it through denver off and instilled great confidence in him. They were willing to give him the ball in that situation was a great compliment to him, and shows that the organization does trust him.
I think Laker fans have to be very encouraged by Smush Parker's performance. He's arguably the closest thing they have to a true 1 on the team, and if he can give them a 20 and 6 dimes night once in awhile, it'll go a long ways towards the Lakeshow rolling back into the playoffs. It's also encouraging for the Lakers to see him knocking down 3's-Kobe is their best outside shooter, and if Parker can prove a reliable long-range threat it frees Kobe to do more as far as getting to the basket and distributing. In that triangle, it always helps to have a point who can come in and knock down an open three.
I hate Mihm Well it seems like you guys got to used to the Chamb-abdul-Oneal Centers that anyone else is crap. Which Mihm definitly fits that description of Crap. So does Kwame.
Nah, Kwame is good. Give him some more touches and he will show what he can do. Mihm is just a walking foul, it seems like he cant do anything on D without fouling, and his facial expressions afterwards are priceless.
I really hate Lamar Odom I have never liked his game. I give him credit on his ball handling skills and being point and stuff. But damn he is bad, yestarday I was pissed at Odon Mihm and Cook for playing so dumb. At least lakers won!
i agree that mihm sucks major ***. but you cant really blame him since is supposed to be used as a bench player, not a starter. too bad he never lived up to expectations being the 8th overal pick.
Chris Mihm has become a liability at both ends of the court. There is no improvement from last season, he still gets bonehead fouls and has no idea what to do with the basketball when he actually catches the entry pass. It's only a matter of time before PJax sits him deep in the doghouse next to Slava.
so i take it you guys aren't getting his new shoe? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Press Release Source: PONY International Los Angeles Laker Chris Mihm to Endorse PONY</div> i can't wait untill they release the "slava 2k7's"
Mihm did have an off game last night don't get me wrong, but you can't count a guy out for one bad game and its still early. There has only been one game. I think Kwame and Mihm are going to have very good years because most of the focus is going to be on Kobe and Odom. Should give them both chances to reep the benefits of playing with superstar caliber players.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Johnnybrasco:</div><div class="quote_post">i can't wait untill they release the "slava 2k7's"</div> lol. im definetly getting one of those, they're going to be the hottest shoes on the block. i can just immagine the commercial. a kid's playing ball but is being schooled by everyone else, so he goes and gets a soda, but finds slava's signature on one of the buttons. he clicks it and out comes slava medenviko (spelling). slava says, you need some help kid? then he goes to the court and dunks on everyone and blocks everyone's shots.
