I say Kobe, now I know Jordan has hit more historical shots but I think Kob has the belt on MORE big game hitters.

ya mean MJ? lol obviously just wanted to put that out there. I wasn't around for most of the "Jordan Era" so I couldn't tell you but I don't see why it would matter. Jordan was the best at his time, and Kobe is clearly the best clutch player of his. Real exciting game and a great way to start off the season though... Denver went from loving Kobe to hating him after the rape case, and since then hes hit two game winners on them IN Denver on top of that... Nugget fans, stop booing him, It's not working....

enough with the mj comparisons, kobe hits a game winner in the first game of the season and all of a sudden he's on the level of mj.

Kobe is clutch without a doubt, but I don't see him as a clear cut as the clutchest player of this era.

Why the constant comparasins? It's not needed-Kobe is a fantastic player who is clutch as clutch can be. Let's just leave it at that, and not worry about who he compares to. I think he'd tell you he's more focused on trying to get back to the playoffs than how similarly his game resembles Jordan's.

Jordan played 2 years in washingon in the last 6 years and made some great plays, but they were all regular season, with no meaning to them. Can't beleive you even threw that out there...but yes I agree with Shaddy. Kobe is great in his own right, and he'll continue to prove it.

Kobe doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as MJ.

    Please some comparing them.

One thing I don't understand about 80% of the people in this thread(you know who you are), is that they are just saying "MJ is better," or some other crap such as comparing each other. Answer the THREAD question, not your own BS fantasy question about who is better.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Who has hit "MORE" big game shots MJ or KB? </div>

That is the question, not who is better/worse. [IMG]

If asking which has hit more clutch shots isn't comparing I don't know what Is. The fact anyone dares ask that question proves they never watched MJ play for a good length of time. MJ hit more big shots/game winners than anyone I can remember. Kobe is not close in that area or in any area.

I don't know. I watched the game last night, and I'm telling you guys Kobe's "knocking on MJ's door steps". You can hate if you want. But there ain't no ifs, ands or buts about it, Kobe is right there next to Jordan. I've been saying this for years, but last night it was confirmed. Before he hit the game winner, I swear I KNEW it was going in. That's when you know he's reached a level of greatness. Honestly, nobody could've took over that game like Kobe.

Fallback "Brasco", I'm not comparing the players. I think it's a legit question considering "THE BIG SHOT" I what seems to seperate the greats from the greatest. Besides that don't you think that people are sticking around at the end of games to see if these clutch players are gonna be cluth? So I think it's very good question, because I lived thru the Jordan era and that **** Kobe did last night with 3.5 is what we watched for. I mean **** A.I. can score 40, Lebron,Dirk,Mac,Wade, and even Nash can score ecessive points ......but that big shot that March Maddness buzzer beater; that threat to score with the game on the line thats the Jordan thing that is comparative to Kobe.
    Hey!!! I guess I am comparing......F*%#@ It

It was the first game of the season and he already has a clutch shot. He had alot last year and the year before that. [IMG]

I had the same feeling many times last season when Gilbert Arenas had the ball with the game on the line. Doesn't mean he is somehow getting closer to MJ either.

It was a nice shot but many other players, lower tier players have hit similar shots to end a game.

It's a fair question, if the game was on the line I'd want Kobe Bryant taking the last shot if I needed a 3 Point basket. If I only needed 2 points I'm going with Jordan. It would be an interesting stat to look at to see who holds the records for most game winners ... og15 where are you?

I think the official number of Jordan gamewinners is around 25.

That includes an NBA title winner, an NCAA title winner and that incredible hanging jumper to put the Cavs out of the playoffs.

No one comes close to him at this point.
