Corey Simon is now offically a Free Agent! The Iggles removed the tag from him and now he's out for the highest bidder! I say the Packers cut Hunts scraggley ass, and possibly Grady's aswell to free up some space and sign this guy he could be a major boost!

Simon would be a huge upgrade over Hunt. If TT knows anything he'll go for him. He'd be worth it.

I am drooling just think what compensatory pick we get for losing him, I bet a 3rd rounder. I like Simon and he's a good player, but not as good as he and his agent think he is. I still think our D-line is really solid.

The Giants have a bit of cap room, they didnt have a 1st rounder so it would be a plus to sign him. Simon is good but not as good as his agent says he is, and who ever made that comment was correct.

    unrestricted free agent!</div>

They are biased and do like to give eagles great comp picks. UFAs are who you get comp picks for

Got a little confused with everything but was able to find this to help me clarify things up.

    Unrestricted free agents

What does the term "unrestricted" mean? No restrictions -- and this designation is that simple. Any player who is an unrestricted free agent can sign with anyone at anytime. There's no matching offers or compensation at all.

Except for at the end of the year when the NFL awards compensatory pics to teams for losing guys to unrestricted free agency..the no compensation is referring to team to team compensation.

Like we will get some compensation for losing guys like Patten, law, andruzzi...

oh thats right. alright I thought he meant that if the Cardinals were to sign Simon they would have to give up a draft pick to get him and I thought to myself thats not right. NFL gives them. derrrrrr [IMG]

Simon wants too much money. There's no way the Packers could afford him.

It would be nice to have him, but Bates and Sherman will stick with what they have.

the chiefs need a good DT, and they already upgraded a lot of their defense and if they could get simon it would really help out in the middle

Well I have a partition to cut Cledius Hunt and sign him. I think we might be able to afford him but we would need to make a big roster cut to clear money. Cledius fits that roll perfect. [IMG] haha ya I know the chance of him signing are about 100 to 1. He'll end up with a team that has cap room.

If we don't go after simon I think Wendell Bryant would even be an improvent over Hunt, They Say Hunt has been smarting off to Bates in camp if its true then I say cut his behind and watch him squirm!

Well no one in Green Bay likes Hunt. I mean they had a poll on Packers.com before training camp and it was like 70% cut him and 30% keep him. Thats not a big majority. I think it would be wise for GB to contact Simon and his agent and see if something can be done but I am not gonna put my money on that happening.

Is it me, or is this guy vastly overrated because he was an Eagle?
