<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Indiana Pacers will retire guard Reggie Miller's number during the March 30 game against the Phoenix Suns at Conseco Fieldhouse. The Pacers wanted to retire Miller's No. 31 earlier but couldn't because of scheduling conflicts. An official announcement is expected today. Miller will join Roger Brown (35), Mel Daniels (34), George McGinnis (30) and Bob "Slick" Leonard (529, symbolizing his wins as a coach) as the only Pacers to have their numbers retired. </div> Source
Prolific, clutch, all around player who left his soul on the court everyday. He'll be remembered forever. Especially with us Knicks fans.
Yep, what Chutney said. He was the main man for the Pacers organization and played his whole career in Indy they should and obvisouly(sp?) are already planning on it.
Boo. Hiss! Couldn't stand him then, can't stand him now. But there was never a doubt about him getting his number retired.

only makes sense...the man IS Indiana basketball...I think eventually he'll end up in the front office for the Pacers...but Reggie put the Pacers on the NBA map and I respect him greatly for staying loyal to them throughout his whole career...
im glad to hear that they are gonna retire #31...living in indiana i grew up watchin reggie...it was a great to see him play...and im glad i got to see him play in his last season last year...FOREVER 31
You "couldn't stand" Reggie Miller? I think he's one of the top 5 most likeable guys in sports. Who do you like, Alonzo Mourning?

Made me sick. And no 'Zo wasn't my favorite either. My favorite player growing up was Reggie Lewis, and he was just plain fun to watch. And he had none of the same negative qualities of a player like Miss Regina Miller, whose sister was a better dunker, and more fun to watch too.

I read somewhere that Reggie Miller only had 2 dunks in his NBA career, don't know if it is true or not

And they were awful, he looked like a fish out of water.
It make's sense. If they wouldn't retire his number, I would start to think what it take's for your number to be retired.
