There was no preview thread. I guess Baron is a game time decision. From my injury experiences I would not want to play on a bum hammy unless it felt 90% good or better. If there is any pain you wont be nearly as explosive and all it takes is 1 time for it to just pop. I tore my calf muscle just jogging back on a fast break. It was the opposite calf that I had a nagging strain on. The funny thing is it took me a good month of rest to get my calf all healed up then the first time back, POP. There went the other calf which I had no previous history with!

My prediction is 100-97 without Baron Davis and 110-90 with Baron Davis...

I disagree with your prediction because the Warriors are a high scoring team. I think 109-102 would be closer...

Jazz will be minus Boozer. If Baron plays little,or not at all,it's hard to predict what the W's will do. Will Fisher TRY to be a playmaker? Will Miles step in? Monta? Utah is a team I'd want to really run on,and drive, and if we lapse into a half court, perimeter mode,we become a team Utah can matchup with better.

Baron is officially not playing. Im glad to see hes getting rest, no need to risk a long term injury or constantly nagging injury this early into the season. We still have a decent shot against the Jazz as long as we play defense and Fisher passes the ball.

Oh my, Barnett just compared Dun's court vision to Magic Johnson's. Anyway Jr. has made some nice passes but most weren't converted due to Foyle's inability to finish.

Yeah, hamstring injury is something that can go long way. It's good to just rest up instead of letting it get worse.

If Dun make a shot, I guess his shooting ability will be like Bird according to Barnett. At least, there is no 5 TOs yet.

Murphy is playing well and all, but what happen to his FT shooting lately? He suddenly becomes Foyle in terms of FT...

Free Throws will be the death of us this year. As bad as both first halfs have gone this year, if we would have shot our free throws, we'd either have been leading, or right there against the Hawks.

Let's hope for a solid second half. Any kind of win will do though.

No kidding. FTs are killing us. We would be up big in this game if we hit a respectable amount of them...

A professional player getting paid millions of dollars can not hit a free throw?[IMG]

And so we lose by 6. If we had converted FT's or had B-Diddy. Game over. No excuses though. The defense, looked pretty solid though. We had a few bum calls, that if they went our way, we could've pulled it out. Did you guys notice Foyle was perfect from the line? Simply amazing. Mike D sucked again.

i really don't like how fisher plays. He's always looking to shoot the ball even when there isn't anyone to get the boards. We had many attempts cut the leaad but instead he makes a dumb decision

This game sucked. Why does our free throws suck so much?? Too much pressure?? =/ Yeah we didn’t have baron davis =[ but they didn’t have boozer, we should have won, if we didn’t have Murphy we would be even more doomed. Lots of bad calls by the officials. I am really disappointed in Dunleavy, even Zarko is playing a lot better than him. WHY DID WE HAVE TO SIGN HIM SO EARLY??? [IMG] this doesn’t not look like 9 mil a year, it looks more like 1 dollar.

I dont think any player was more dissapointing than another but some very questionable decisions by Monty. Foyle got 2 fouls early but after that he got 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 21 minutes. Where was he at the beginnning of the third when we were getting beat on, eventually to become a 14 point deficit? He wasn't playing bad and he definitely would have helped the rebounding and defense, he also was 4-4 shooting FTs we could have used alot more FTs from him if he was going to shoot a high percentage.

Monty really needs to get a clue and give the damn ball to J-Rich. Give Jason the ball and put Fish and Dunleavy on the wings (especially if you arent even going to run plays). W's also got alot of bad calls form the refs, though we should have expected that.

Tough loss but it just shows how badly we need Baron. I was impressed with Aaron Miles's defense; very tenacious, very good help defense, and doesnt commit stupid fouls. Taft had a decent night, Dunleavy made some nice passes but he shouldnt pass to Foyle in traffic, Fisher did alright other than FG% but he only commited 1 TO, Cabarkapa played decent as well but he should have played more earlier rather than later.

Thanks Ill Pill, that heads up sounded pretty interesting. The W's need to learn to execute and most importantly do the important things like box out for the defensive rebound and to hit free throws.

I'm not even suprised. The Jazz could execute, we couldn't. The Jazz could control the pace by running plays and playing defense, we couldn't.
You can't really blame the coach and say that Adonal Foyle would/could have been the difference in the game because there needs to be at least one person that could play the 4 or 5 position and play the high post like a princeton offense center would. I did find a rotation of Murphy at center and Dunleavy at power forward really disturbing. Aside from that I think the real difference in the game was we weren't executing, we played sloppy, we let the Jazz get easy offensive boards, we kept trying to go for the flashy instead of the simple, and we kept leaving the paint wide open for easy cuts to the basket. Oh yes, and we can't even hit 70% free throws which was what I expected the Warriors to average this season. We hit around 60% and left a ton of points at the line.

Also Jason Richardson is a guy that can't create his own offense against a double team that well. He just turns the ball over too much.

We also live and die by the three because we have no inside presence, which is unfortunate because we have a possible candidate to fill that need sitting on the bench with an injury caused by a guy we just waived.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"We played our game real well, though. They like to get up and down the court, and that's not our style. We played our pace. When we execute and we do it the right way, we're tough to beat." - Matt Harpring</div>

A team without any real huge stars doing anything whooped our butts and it was Okur that came through.

I wonder who was doing the yelling? I hope it was either Monty or Jrich because no one has any place to be yelling. Not even Baron Davis unless he played...
