<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Run BJM:</div><div class="quote_post">Oh my, Barnett just compared Dun's court vision to Magic Johnson's. Anyway Jr. has made some nice passes but most weren't converted due to Foyle's inability to finish.</div>

Dunleavy has good court vision, but like most people has to LOOK AT something to see it. Magic could look left and see everything to the right...thus the name "Magic". So Adonal gets in such good shape he's beating the guards down the floor-and does that work? uh...no,it only gets him into those fake and juke finish situations someone like Magic handled so well. Adonal just has no luck,or magic. He does have good D and that helped the W's stay close.

Murph,Dunleavy and Fish all played better D than I recall from last year. Taft + Miles again looked good. Remember how much pt Biedrens and Pietrus saw their first month? These youngsters are getting 4th quarter mins! Monty is all about equal opportunity now.[IMG]
The refs were a bit erratic, there was some heavy mugging-no call, yet some other calls were proximity whistles. Where does the NBA find these guys?[IMG] I guess I've seen much worse but it's still annoying. It seems that the refs, when a bit off, throw the W's off rhthem,as does having Baron sitting down. Utah seemed to clog up stuff without seeming to have much speed. You'd think that J Rich and Pietrus would leave the Jazz in the dust, yet that didn't happen.[IMG] It really seemed the W's SHOULD have won with some margin. Oh well.

While not having Baron,Biedrens,Ike was a handicap,I was seeing a good overall effort on D,some good passing, and contributions by the bench,so it's a loss but had some good signs for the future,we just didn't quite have the magic.......

Not too bad of a loss in my perspective. The game was lost at the free throw line, and the inability to penetrate into the paint. Hopefully when Monta is ready, he can get in there at will, like Speedy, Boykins, and Arenas did. Defensively, I've really seen improvement in everyone overall. I hope Murph will be able to finish inside soon. He looks very poised to bang it up inside.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Warriorfansnc93:</div><div class="quote_post">I wonder who was doing the yelling? I hope it was either Monty or Jrich because no one has any place to be yelling. Not even Baron Davis unless he played...</div>
I'm really glad the team did get yelled at, this is a huge reality check. Like Custodian said we didnt execute (though I thought our defense was solid). I'm guessing the coaches are really pissed about the free throws, especially from guys like Murphy and Pietrus who got plenty of opportunities.

I guess the loss cant be blamed on any one aspect or person in the game (other than FT shooting). Still I think Monty makes bad substitutions, in the third when it was a close game we played Zarko who is probably a worse rebounder than Dunleavy and probably a worse interior defender as well. Thats where I want Foyle, he isnt going to give you offense but if you are running a lineup of Fish/J-Rich/Pietrus/Zarko/Murphy than we aren't going to make many stops. Another area where we could have used Foyle was hustle and diving for loose balls. Like Barnett said, the Jazz got EVERY one. Also, 4 of Foyle's 7 rebounds were offensive boards, he was really crashing the boardsa and creating a spark, when he was out we were strugggling to get any type of positive energy.

I cant say that if we played Foyle more then we would have won but I think it could have helped alot. Monty also could ahve played Pietrus a little more, I'd rather have him playing than Zarko in a close game because he is more consistent on both sides of the ball and again, he is probably just as good of a rebounder.

In the end we just dont have enough firepower without B. Diddy, everyone has alot more trouble creating their own shots and no one can produce offense when the tempo slows down.

Run BJM, hopefully we'll be able to find some way to create offense off the ball or we'll have to wait until Montay or Ike Diogu is ready to play. There's nobody that great one-on-one on the current roster and I think those two can be difference makers if both are drawing that much attention inside and outside. Something is awry when Murphy sees more minutes and we can't perform as well down the stretch. Hmm....

I'm still having a hard time seeing Dunleavy as a small forward, because the only time he's really noticeable is when he's playing point guard or power forward. He's just such a tweener at times. The game wasn't that bad because we atleast stayed close, but it was just ugly. The fact is you never want to see Fisher lead your team in scoring over Jrich, Murphy, etc. Nobody else could put the ball through the hoop unless they start going perimeter.

J Rich and Pietrus can drive,go one-on-one,but need to do it a bit more.

Monty was looking to see who has what working, who added some tools, how the new guys blend, which is a great idea. Sometimes you need to go for the big picture even if it's not the most likely tactic for one win.

Look what Brevin Knight did against the 76ers:
    14 points, 15 ASSISTS, 3 steals, 4 rebounds, 6-12 shooting.

Wouldn't he be the perfect fit for us as the number two point?

Earl Boykins would fit as well. With Earl Watson just sitting there for the Nuggets, maybe we could pry Boykins away. In the half court set Boykins can always get his shot off. Yes he's a shoot first point, but the half court set is our problem.
