Having one of these guys on fire is bad but to have two of them hot makes it worse. With them on fire, it's going to be near impossible to beat the Nets - The second key is the bench. The Nets have almost got nothing from the bench for the first two games. The bench of Nets is great but they are not showing it yet. Zoran Planinic is the high man on the bench with 5.0 pts per game. Thats just no gonna cut it, the Nets need way more help. -The Nets need to try to get a good lead in the first two quarters. This will make it harder for the Bulls to come back. In order to make it hard, the Nets need to keep the lead and continuing playing. We don't need another Bucks game. <font color=""Red""> Bulls Keys to the Game -Stop Kidd from doing his job. If the Bulls manage to contain Kidd then the Nets will have a problem. Players like Collins, Krstic, Robinson etc need Kidd's passing, due to the fact their shot creating isn't that good. Without Kidd, the Nets will have a hard time scoring. -The Bulls will also need help from their bench. Like said before, Nets bench hasn't been playing well so the Bulls bench should take advantage. The Bulls have a good bench that can score many points while the starters are out. This may be an important key for the Bulls -The last key is Ben Gordon. He had a chance to be a starter but it didn't work out, but the doesn't mean he won't play good. The guy is very dangerous, and even more dangerous in the 4th quarter. Even though Gordon will most likely come off the bench, he is the most important player on the bench. He is their 6th man and the Bulls will expect a lot from him. <font size=""5"">Prediction I think the Net will win this game. Their trio of Kidd, Jefferson and Carter seems to likely for the Bulls to stop. Even if, the Nets bench doesn't play well I feel the Nets can still win 97-88. Edit- I think the game was very exciting, with 18 secs in the 4th quarter, I actually thought the Nets was gonna lose. The big three all had a great game. Kidd 10 pts,11 rebs, 11 assists. Jefferson 28 pts, 13 rebs, 7 assists. Carter 28 pts,12 rebs and 3 assists.
I missed this game, but it looks like Kidd had a very good game coming up with Triple double. Carter was not shooting too well. Jefferson had an excellent night. The Net's bench was not statistically productive, but hopefully they played defense. I think that it is tough to play against Chicago considering that they have a very deep and active bench. The reason I think that the game ended up so close was that the Net's bench was badly outscored.
yeah,me too...i didn't see the game but i was able to get myself updated...lol...saw the highlight w/c was jefferson's 3pt.play during the dying second of the game...the big three had a huge night...kidd gettin a triple double,rj winnin the game,vc,oh well,he shot horrible...lol...nevertheless,he had a pretty block against nocioni's last second shot...(if im not mistaken)
I only had a chance to tune in to the 4th quarter. The Bulls executed well late in the game, and we got lucky wen Gordon missed that freethrow. Our defense was just abysmal in the quarter, and Duhon, Hinrich, and Gordon were roaming freely through the paint for easy buckets. It worries me a tiny bit that our Big 3 backcourt accounted for 71% of rebounds in the game, but overall we did great job crashing boards and getting off. boards and tip-ins. I think if Jefferson continues to play this well, he's a lock for the All-Star game. I have been convinced that he's greatly improved in all aspects of the game, especially in his perimeter and mid-range shooting.
i saw most of the game. Richard Jefferson providing further evidence that he is their most important player. The passion to win and athleticism he brings are awesome. Krstic proving he is already one of the most versatile players at the 5 spot. For a big guy, he has one of the best looking shots i've ever seen. However, you know that the Detroit-Indy-Miami shadow has to loom over this team. And so even without Shaq, tomorrow's game is a huge key for them gaining confidence.
NBA Baller, first let me say great job on the preview. And sorry I didnt get back to your preview...I was on the run all weekend. As far as the game goes...the lack of bench production from the 2nd unit is a major concern, I have right now. We are getting by off the strenght of our first unit guys...which is fine for right now. But McInnis, Murray and Jackson were brought here to take off some of the scoring load. And those guys have yet to surface. Turnovers is a concern as well...guys have to realise the simple play is much more important then trying to make the spectacular happen. Jefferson had a excellent game..but there was a couple of times that I was thinking what type of pass are you trying to make there RJ. Anyway, we almost gave that game away but at the end of the day a win is a win.
