Loss was tough, but on the brightside, I liked Yao's aggressiveness alot. He shot, boarded, and blocked aggressively. Now that he's not that timid anymore, the only thing stopping him is his stamina...
I just wanted to put my 2 cents in regarding the scuffle. Mason was immature about tossing Yao off his back like he did, but that was pretty much the extent of his misbehaving. The "punch" that many people think they saw was actually Desmond ripping his arm away from Juwan Howard's grasp. If you have the footage on your computer or Tivo, take another look. I'm not a Desmond Mason fan or anything, I've just seen him being falsley accused on other forums and think people should take a closer look before coming to a conclusion.
I twas just terrible tonight i mean they were forcing shots on Yao because we don't have a 3rd scoring option and Yao looked very tired and fatigued. As for Mason i think his actions were uneccesary and if he thinks he can clock a 7"6' man then it's his funeral.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">“We can’t finish right now,” Rockets head coach Jeff Van Gundy said. “That’s not a player thing, that’s a coaching thing. I have to do a better job coaching.” </div> Well, at least this time JVG admits it's his bad coaching that lead to the lost. He should have rested Yao for a few minutes in the 4th quarter, so Yao wouldn't have been so fatigued near the end...
Man that was a fun game to watch. Mason is now on my hate list. That win would have been ours if he wasn't such an aggressive dumbass. THE ROCKETS WOULD HAVE WON IF YAO NEVER TRIED TO BLOCK MASONS DUNK. We lost so much momentum after that altercation.
