For me, it's Milwaukee in the East and Utah in the West. They have both won convincingly against teams that were favored early on to be in the playoffs in their respective conferences. For the West, I know only less than half the ppl would even consider Utah fighting for a playoff spot. Most people think it's Lakers, GSW or Minny. I think Utah can be in the mix for the 7th, maybe even 6th spot provided that AK stays healthy.
Clippers definitely. This team is solid, the only weakness is that they dont have alot of depth so if Brand or any other key starter gets injured then they may be in trouble.
The Milwaukee Bucks and TJ Ford have shown that they can play, I know it is only a couple games into the season, but yeah. Plus the Clippers, they have to hand down the "Laughing Stock of the League" name off them and hand it to the Hawks.
It's early but New Jersey and Detroit both look better than I thought --- With Detroit I thought under Flip they'd be disorganized and with the letdown from last year they'd be uninspired. New Jersey are deeper than I thought, Krstic looks better, Marc Jackson was a good acquisition also and PLaninic is a great back up to JKidd. Sacramento and Philly surprises me with how poorly they are playing. Sac looked poor against L.A. in the preseason and then getting blown out by New Orleans/Oklahoma City... that's just sad.
Bucks. They have some good talent in Redd, Bogut, Simmons, and with TJ Ford back, alot of things are falling together. I think they`re really going to turn some heads this year.
I don't know about the Knicks... but the Bucks has a legit shot at taking the #4 seed overall in the East after Detroit, Miami and Indy. They beat Philly and NJ convincingly so far and yes even though Miami was Shaqless, they still shouldn't have lost to the bucks... The Central division is definitely heating up
I think the Bucks will really surprise people, too. With a starting lineup that could be: C Magloire PF Bogut SF Simmons SG Redd PG TJ Ford They really have options for scoring and everything there. Whilst they only have 1 or 2 potential all-stars, the rest of the team are still useful players who will provide for them. All 5 Central Division team could make it to the postseason.
The Bucks get my nod in the east. they impressed me the 2 games i've seen. dont really watch all of the games, i've got the nba league pass, so i see a lot of the games and such, but the Bucks in the east, and by the end of the season, you'll see the warriors near the top of the standings.
I agree with most of you. The Bucks are looking real good so far, and if they can stay healthy they should grab one of the last three playoff spots in the East. The Warriors and Clippers look pretty good so far, but the biggest thing for Golden State is for Baron Davis to stay healthy. He is the key to that team. Both of those teams could compete for one of the lower playoff spots in the West.
The Bucks are looking in good shape, but I think the Clippers will really shine, making some headway in the finals.....dare I say all the way???!!!
Woah, look at them Clippers. There offense is playing so well right now. Everyones scoring and getting in on the action. They should be even better with the return off Corey Maggatte.
wat about the bobcats they were 2-1 at one point (i think there 2-3 now) and there only losing by like less then 10
It's only two games in, let the teams who aren't doing so good who expected to do good (Knicks) get to know their teammates and their coach. And also let the Clippers and Warriors come down to earth a little bit. I'll do that before I say that the Clippers are back
I think Utah will be the biggest sleeper team because Okur is playing like an All-Star. The only if about them is if Boozer can stay healthy for most of the season.
