The 76ers are blowing the Pacers out of the water right now 89-70. Shocking the world.

dang. what a game. another game that shouldnt have gone as close at it had. like i said. the sixers have to do a better job of keeping their leads. because of my cable problems, i had to follow the game on yahoo. (something was wrong with my audio plug out in my labtop so i couldnt listen to it either) and from the boxscores, stephen hunter surprised me again. i have to say that i wasnt looking for much from the guy when he first signed. but he is turning out to be quite a player. i mean, 5 frigging blocks! i think he did a great job and i hope he continues to do so. also, iggy had a pretty decent game as well, and it seemed that korver's shot has returned. the only player that im not so impressed with is salmons, who looked like the same old salmons as last season. but then again, its only one game, so i hope he comes back next game and gives us a spark off the bench. so im pretty happy with this win. i just hope all our injured guys come back and have a monster season, and that we finally learn to keep our leads! we have had this problem for the last 2 or 3 years, and it still has gotten any better. i just hope that mo cheeks will be the man to correct this problem.

what a great game iguodala had he shot 5-5 from the field and made a 3 pointer and also shot 3-4 from the free throw line.. sixers struggled at the end but it was a good performance that got them the win. Alot of people expected the sixers to loose against them but they did the enough to win.

Now what were our chances of winning this game? Yall know it. But anyways finally a good game. However, when the Sixers had that big 20 point 3rd quarter lead, I knew for sure they were going to collapse in the fourth. The Sixers need to learn how to play with a lead. Steven Hunter again set a nice tone for the Sixers in the beginning of the game and continued it with consistent defensive efforts throughout the game. Chris Webber, again delivered with like 3 or 4 HUGE buckets in the fourth quarter.

However, the Sixers defense is still horrible. Yes, they force a lot of turnovers, but i'm talking about shooting percentage wise. They don't look aggresive rotating and in pick and rolls either. Plus it's very common to see a player from the opposing team standing wide open at least 5 ft to the closest defender.

Now the Sixers get their well deserved rest.....by the way some REALLY weird outcomes in the NBA today
    Mavs beat Spurs by 19
    Bobcats beat Celtics
    Bucks beat Heat
    Sixers beat Pacers
    Hornets beat Rockets

This season is stilll well in hand everybody. We almost won a game against a very good Bucks team, lost a reasonable game to the Pistons, and just played sloppy against a decent Bobcats team, and now we beat possibly the number 3 team in the NBA.

wow! the celtics lost to the bobcats! i guess the cats are showing everyone that they arent a joke and that they can really play! and what about the spurs and the heat? i know the heat are without shaq, but still, i picked them easily over miami. this looks like its going to be a very interesting nba season. and i like it.

Was I the only one who bet that the Sixers would win? Maybe I was too desperate for a win, seems like Korver got his shot back

Good pullout. Hopefully this will be like a resurgance for us. Korver seems to of finally got the monkey off his back. Webber continues too play good and Hunter seems like he`s starting to step up. I noticed some good hustle from Lee Nailon and that`s what I`d like to see. His wing shots are his strong points and he has to keep it up for some instant offense off the bench.

They were all on top then Jackson, O`Neal, and Tinsley checked back in and I watched that lead shrivel down to 2 or 4. I agree that the Sixers have to take care of bigger leads better.

    First off...[IMG]

Finally we get our first win, but I don't know how someone can explain that we lost to the Bobcats at home but then go on the road and beat a team that many experts predicted to win the NBA championship.

Nice win, but the Pacers come back kind of lowers the awesomeness of it. Still, I'd rather take this than what happened the last few games against the Bobcats, Pistons, and Bucks. Everything offensively pretty much clicked for us tonight, but like Iversonfan3 said, we need to work on some serious defense. Players aren't doing a good job of contesting shots and rotating on defense to cover the opposing players which really bugs me. If our shots aren't falling, then we really don't have anything to rely on other than creating turnovers. And sometimes that just doesn't happen when you play against the better teams. Lets see if this win carries on to the next game. Hopefully.
