Just because he's restricted doesn't meen he can't leave. It would be pointless to resign him if he doesn't even want to play in Toronto. Anyway, he's been playing bad this season except for the last game against the Cavs. I know its early in the season, but he's the main option on a bad team, so his numbers should be a lot higher. It might be a good idea to trade him while his value is high instead of possibly losing him next season, or getting less if his play declines this season. It would also give more room for CV to grow. I just don't see Bosh flourishing in an offense like this, he needs to be surrounded by vets and a good pg. Also, I think that, like Vince, he's not a great leader.

For the record he's averaging 17 and 10, which is hardly struggling. Why are we talking about this anyway? Bosh hasn't said he wants to leave toronto, and of course he's gonna be frustrated, any competitive player would be. I'd actually be pissed off if he wasnt frustrated, because that would mean he doesnt care about winning as much as he does about himself (and any raps fan knows what it feels like to have a player like that on their team). If he can average 17 and ten and have people say that he's struggling, then isnt he the one player that we cant afford to lose?

amen...was just about to say that. how is 17 and 10 struggling? especially considering he's played a couple games where his team seemed to just forget about him on offense.

id say the year is young, and he'll be avg'ing at least another bucket by years end. he'll be just shy of 20/10 is what im thinking.

and of course restricted free agency doesnt mean he's staying FOR SURE...but it means he's either staying, or we can get close to anything for him. he'd be probably the most sought after free agent on the market if he went public saying he wants to play for another team

17-10 isn't struggling when you just put it like that, but before last game he was shooting 39.5%, averaging 14.3 PPG, and watching the games, he was struggling. He was trying to do things out of his character, and his highest shooting day was 4-9 [44%] against the Pistons.

That whole thing about trading him while his value is high is just stupid to me, that's just dumb. First of all, this is Bosh's third year, not 4th. He isn't an RFA till after his 4th year, he's not due for a contract this off-season, so why would we be making decisions now?

Upcoming summer. If he improves like we expect to improve, he'll probably get the max from us if we're willing to pay him that.

right now bosh is a semi-question mark. he could turn out great another kg, or he could end up as just a role player. giving him a max contract this early on could backfire. i think only allstars deserve the max and bosh isn't there yet.

Bosh has to learn to demand the ball like everyone says. Until he learns that his gonna "struggle" and 17 and 10 is struggling id take that it just means his a really good player i think thats a complement to him saying his struggling. If he wasnt frastrated id be pissed off who wants to lose?

    +1 I dont think he's a max player. I think he's a good complimentary player to a legit superstar.

wow...i totally disagree. right now he's a complimentary player, and he's basically a 20/10 guy. a pf that puts up those numbers, in this league is already a max contract player

if kenyon martin is a max contract player, then bosh certainly is. not that k-mart really deserves it

but dont look at bosh's numbers now...think of how good he's going to be in another 2 years. someone's gonna offer him a max contract...might as well be us
