Anyone know when he is expected back from injury for you guys? and what role do you expect he will have and how many minutes?
They said he was out for 2 weeks last Wednesday. I doubt he will come back by the 23 though, probably the last week of November or first week of December. I expect him to get about 10-15 minutes a night during close games, more during blow outs, it also depends on how he plays though.
I think there's no real rush to bring him in because Monty doesn't like playing rookies and Diogu was having a hard time figuring out where to be in offensive sets. I'm hoping 16 and 8 from the bench I bet he'll be back by next week. He can still run and stay in shape. Hopefully, he'll help with our little ft%, inside scoring and rebounding problem.
On TV Ike had no bandage or cast,I guess he ain't far away. Monty was at Stanford seeing Ike play well against his team,so Ike is no typical rook. Note too,our LOW rookies,Taft,Miles have roles already, with taft seeing 4th qtr minutes. Ike was not picked as a project. he was piucked because he led the nation in free throws made ,led the pac 10 in scoring-boards-blocks. He was picked because Monty had TRIED to stop him and knows how hard that is. Ike is going to get minutes and is going to play well. Murphy was an 11 rbd guy, nearly and is capable of raising his ppg to 17+,so it will be interesting to see how that works out.

Even though they play the same position, their games are different enough where the balance of an inside/outside big man threat will be beneficial for the W's. One scenario is that having Murphy out on the perimeter will bring a 4 or 5 on the opposing team out, giving a slight rebound advantage. Anyway, I'm very anxious to see our #1 pick on the court.
I'm as anxious as the next fellow, but I predict he'll be a quiet producer much like Tim Duncan is. I really don't mind guys that aren't too above-the-rim, just as long as they get results and set the tone on both ends of the floor. Since big man fundamentals are so rare in the NBA, I think Diogu will be fun to watch IMO. He probably won't be Tim Duncan kind of great, or he might not be as good as Zach Randolph or Elton Brand, but I think he's going to be something the Warriors will definitely need if they don't want to float around on the perimeter every game. Big dude, long wingspan, good hands, good finesse, agile for his size, with solid footwork and low center of gravity can cause some damage inside.
