    GMan's Predictions
Bucks get a few days off before taking on another young and up and coming team, the Golden St. Warriors. Terry Stotts will take on the team he was an assistant coach for last season. Baron Davis is likely to play, he played Sunday. This should be an exciting game...I think the Bucks win yet another close game.

This is the first time I can say this all year-this is one of those games that the Bucks have to win. We've gotten a couple surprise wins on the road, and the win over a very good Heat team at home was nice, but beating a team like the Warriors at home is something that we must be able to do to become a playoff contender. That's not a mark against the Warriors-they're a young and up and coming team similar to the Bucks-it's just that we need to take care of business at home against teams with similar talent. I think we'll take care of business, and I'm looking for a big game from Bogut.

The Warriors have consistently been one of the worst teams on the road. They don't have the interior scoring to compete with the Bucks inside, and the guard play is about equal. All the signs for a Milwaukee blow out win. I think the Warriors are going to live and die from the perimeter, especially on the road. The Bucks just need to make sure they get a hand in the face and don't allow the Warriors too, many fast break opportunities by turning the ball over. The Warriors usually win with speed, but the Bucks matchup well there and can bring in Gadz, if the transition defense isn't getting the job done. The Bucks have put together such a balanced roster, it's going to be tough to beat them on any night.

This is awesome, the first Bucks game I've seen live all year [IMG] [IMG]

Bogut struggling a bit on D, but showed some range on a nice jumper.

TJ is even quicker than I remembered [IMG]

27-23 Warriors at the end of the 1st quarter

An interesting note-with about 5 minutes left in the 1st, Bogut came out and the Warriors destroyed us inside en route to a 14-0 run. As soon as Bogut came back, we went on a 6-0 run to finish the quarter...hmm, let's keep that kid on the floor, huh? He's got 2 pts, 3 reb, 2 stl so far.

Our defense was just terrible there for awhile, we've got to D up boys. J Rich had one follow dunk that where NO ONE blocked out. We can't give them the paint and the perimeter. Let's pick a poison and D up now boys.

    31-29 now
We are playing pretty well on offense despite very good D from G.S, but the interior defense is gonna drive me nuts. Friggin' Adonal Foyle is looking like their best option so far [IMG] Come on boys, step up on D now!

Does Richardson really have 9 boards already in the first quarter? [IMG]

Looks like they've outrebounded us 13 to 1 at the guard position so far. Yikes. [IMG]

Good run, guys! 40-36 (and closing that rebounding margin a bit)

    53-53 at the half.

We played some better defense in the paint in the 2nd quarter, but then G.S spread the floor and Fisher and Caparkaba knocked down some jumpers. Need to keep up the defensive pressure, these guys can score in a hurry. Richardson already has a double/double [IMG] (didn't I tell you we weren't blocking out?).

Offensively, Bogut looked pretty good, running the floor on a breakout for a layup and getting 3 the hard way down in the paint with the whole Warriors team on his back. What was really frustrating, though, was that we made some really nice passes into the paint but weren't able to finish. On a lighter note, Joe Smith gave us a nice burst off the bench, got a couple buckets to keep us in it when they weren't falling from the perimeter. We're going to need a real strong second half tonight, the Warriors are playing very well.

    1st Half Stats

    Redd-13 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast
    Bogut-9 pts, 4 reb, 2 stl
    Smith-6 pts, 5 reb
    TJ-6 pts, 8 ast [IMG]

TERRIBLE start to the 2nd half. I'm getting pretty pissed off right now with our complete lack of defense. It doesn't help that we're not hitting any of our shots, either. Troy Murphy is killing us with threes. If we stop 'em inside, we leave 'em wide open on the perimeter. If we get a hand up outside, they dump it in for an easy score. For the love of God, guys, play some friggin D.

We cannot lose home games to the Warriors. We need to wake up. They're shooting 50% from the field [IMG] Davis, Richardson and Murphy have 41 points already.

Son of a bitch. It's now 72-59. They've hit 3 threes in a row and scored 12 unanswered points. They can't miss and we don't have a field goal in almost 3 minutes. WTF [IMG]

The worst part is that Murphy and Dunleavy are killing us from the 3pt line, and we're not doing a damn thing to stop 'em. Get a hand up boys, you're getting LAZY. [IMG]

    82-74, end of the third.

Golden State DESTROYED us from the three point line (5 3's in the quarter), and we didn't do one damn thing to stop it. Drive and dish. Drive and dish. Drive and dish. We had better wake the **** up on defense or this is going to be a VERY frustrating loss. [IMG] Get your head out of your ass, Bucks.

Well, now we're killing ourselves with fouls. Warriors are in the bonus from here on out, and it's 89-85 with 7 minutes left.

Man, how many 3's have we fired up in the 2nd half?

After looking, I guess they've fired up over twice as many...but they're hitting 44%

    ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

11 threes now for Golden State. As soon as we get a shred of momentum, they kill us with yet another friggin three. We're killing them on fast break points (19-6) and in the paint (50-26), yet they're just torching us from deep. [IMG]

Well boys, this game is pretty much over. We have 23 personal fouls, they have 12 threes and 6 and 1's. When you play LAZY defense, foul and let them have WIDE OPEN looks from deep, you're not going to win. This was an extremely frustrating game and the Bucks had better wake up and play some damn defense from here on out. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

A loss might do us good at this point...I'd love them to keep winning but they're getting a lot of attention only a week or so into the season. I saw Steve Kerr jumped them up from 21st to 5th on his power rankings???

    Another 3? Goodnight!

They've scored 21 more points from behind the arc and 12 more from the line!

Well, this game was a rousing failure for the Bucks. We let a team that we should've beat come into our house and walk all over us. 13 three pointers, 48% from deep. That is rediculous. That is lazy defense. We didn't have a hand in the face of their three point shooters at any point all game. We let Murphy and Davis just kill us from three, and we didn't make shots down the stretch or play defense till it was too late. Just a pathetic effort tonight, we didn't show up for a game that we had to have. We had better wake up. [IMG] [IMG]

    GMan's Thoughts
Golden St. made 13 threes, shot 15 more free throws, and made 12 more than the Bucks...Its amazing it was close. The Warriors shot the lights out of the ball, the Bucks didn't defend the 3 ball very well. Mo Williams was on fire for the Bucks...who couldn't buy a call. Redd gets hacked a lot, but gets the cheap fouls called against him. Troy Murphy was red hot. Tough loss, but the 3 ball kills. Bucks crushed the Warriors in the paint like 60-24. Weird

    MVP: Troy Murphy
    NEW RECORDS
    Bucks 3-1
    Warriors: 3-1

The Bucks are now 0-1 when Joe Smith plays. The curse continues.

Terrible defensive effort by the Bucks, the one thing you don't want the Warriors to do in a game is get hot from the perimeter. Also the free throw discrepancy was ridiculous, the Warriors had 26 FTAs, and the Bucks only got to the line 11 times.

Is there a reason why Gadz didn't play last night?
