VERY good news in Laker town, but bad news for Luke. Phil was willing to give the starting SG job to Luke and move KB up to the SF and play Lamar at the PG, but the way Smush has been playing, Luke, you're coming off the bench!

Actually the article mentioned Kwame might be the odd man out of the starting 5, with Odom moving to PF and Luke to SG or SF.

Personally I prefer Luke coming off the bench to run the offense instead of Sasha or McKie. I don't think is there yet defensively, and the Lakers still have too, many holes on defense. Also Odom is more effective playing SF where he can take advantage of the mismatches.

For the first time, I am anxious to see Luke Walton return and see what he can contribute. I prefer him off the bench, I think starting him at this point is pushing it.
