<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW YORK (Ticker) - Just missing his first triple-double in an inspiring return from a spinal injury, guard T.J. Ford of the Milwaukee Bucks was named as the NBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday.

Ford, who missed the entire 2004-05 season due to a spinal cord bruise, averaged 16.7 points, 10.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds in three games as the Bucks began 3-0 for the first time since 2001-02.

The 22-year-old Ford began his stellar week with a 16-point, 14-assist performance with nine rebounds in a 117-108 overtime victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Opening Night on Tuesday. </div>

It is an incredible return for TJ Ford - I don't think anybody quite expected a return as extravagent as this.

i would absolutely love to see this guy in the NBA all star game. I know i'm getting ahead of myself, but i just want him there real bad, and if he plays like this for the whole season, i can't see any reason for him not to be in the ASG.

well as for kobe, he's had plenty POW awards. big ups to both of 'em

TJ will probably be the Comeback player of the Year. Both players deserve this award. Kobe has been a monster the last few games.

Kudos to TJ and Kobe, especially TJ, he is playing great after his setback and like already said, should and probably will win Comeback Player of the Year.

Both players deserved it, TJ with amazing numbers, doing a lot better than many of the premiere PG's in the game, averaging a double double. And also Kobe who is just putting up insane numbers. Most important thing is both players are playing on teams that are winning.

It`s great seeing one, Ford returning to the game and leading the Bucks to a 3-0 start, and two, seeing Kobe be effective, with also the return of Phil, on both sides of the court. Both players deserve it.

Yup, I'm looking forward to see how For'd endurance is. It's all very well him playing well for the first week. But how about the first month? Or season? Personall, I think he'll do fine, but he still needs to answer the critics.

I'm surprised T.J. Ford came back from his injury this season to put up those numbers. Grats to him and Kobe for the outstanding performances this week.

I agree...its good to see him playing so well after going through such a devastating injury...it's always nice to see the hard work and determination of players pay off...The Bucks are gonna be a scary team this season...

i think they could, but with the actual division seeding it is impossible.
wow if TJ continues like that he is going to have a Steve Nash type season.
