Because Lamar is the closest thing to a walking triple double the League has right now (check the stats, sorry LeBron) and Kwame would be great in Minnesota with no other PF around for hundreds of miles...they would and could both blossom into all stars there.

If we could somehow keep Odom and gain garnett they might as well just hand us the 'ship for the next 5 years

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ilive4ball:</div><div class="quote_post">I wouldn't. Kobe Bryant is comparable to a player with only a few years experience in the L because he's having to do it on his own. We haven't seen what he can do yet, we've seen Garnett for 10 years. Plus efficiency rankings are putting Kobe as the best player in the L right now</div>

I missed this tread... I forget to check the Laker speculaters. This one is the best... predictions are nothing, when has Garnett ever lost the effieceny ranking?

p.s. Everyone that had said Garnett never proven he could make it to the finals. Last time I checked - Kobe getting to the finals without Shaq 0-1... stay tuned for 0-2.

p.p.s. Shaq's chances of getting to the finals > Kobes.

Of course Shaq's chances are a lot better than Kobe's, look who he has down in Miami. Jwill, Wade, Walker, Payton, Haslem, Mourning, and James Posey. Kobe, on the other hand, has Lamar Odom, who plays sketchy every night, Smush Parker, who's started hot--but will he stay hot? Kwame Brown, who hasn't gotten the offense yet, Chris Mihm, who belongs in the NBDL, and others. Shaq's supporting cast is undeniably better than Kobe's.

As for Garnett in L.A., I'd love it, who wouldn't? But the chances of it happening are next to nothing.
