<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1. Joakim Noah, 6-11, 227, PF/C, Soph., Florida ? The son of former tennis great Yannick Noah averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game as a freshman.

    2. Hilton Armstrong, 6-11, 235, PF/C, Sr., UConn ? He has played second or third fiddle behind Emeka Okafor and Josh Boone, but with the departure of Charlie Villanueva, expect the unheralded senior to get plenty of minutes.

    3. Aaron Bruce, 6-3, 195, PG, Soph., Baylor ? He was the top scoring freshman in the nation last year, but no one outside of the Big 12 really knows about this kid. Exposure won't be any greater this season since the Bears aren't allowed to play any non-conference games this year. Maybe a young Steve Nash?

    4. Trent Plaisted, 6-11, 245, PF, Fr., BYU ? The lefty missed all of his freshman year due to foot injuries. Big-time athlete from San Antonio who runs the floor well and can knock down the mid-range jumper with consistency.

    5. Jon Brockman, 6-7, 245, PF, Fr., Washington ? Chose the Huskies over Duke. That's really all you need to know. Plays hard all the time. Undersized, but gets more done than guys a few inches bigger.

    6. Jawann McClellan, 6-4, 225, SG, Soph., Arizona ? Yeah, we know he's ineligible for the first semester due to academics; but when he gets back, he'll waste no time becoming a big-time scorer. With Salim Stoudamire gone, someone will need to score from the perimeter.

    7. Josh McRoberts, 6-10, 230, BF, Fr., Duke ? Shelden Williams and J.J. Redick aren't the keys to Duke winning a national title this year. It'll come down to McRoberts and if his back holds up. The Carmel, Ind., native may not be in Durham for long and could have even made the jump out of high school.

    8. Tyler Hansbrough, 6-9, 235, PF/C, Fr., North Carolina ? He's the jewel of the Tar Heels' recruiting class, and since everyone else left, this has basically been Hansbrough's team from the first day he arrived in Chapel Hill.

    9. Cedric Simmons, 6-10, 215, F, Soph., N.C. State ? The long, talented Wolfpack forward didn't play all that much as a freshman, but with the departure of Julius Hodge, N.C. State will look to Simmons for some scoring.

    10. Lewis Clinch, 6-3, 190, SG, Fr., Georgia Tech ? The best freshman not to make the McDonald's All-American game. Clinch is a big-time scorer, and with Jarrett Jack, B.J. Elder and Will Bynum all gone, Paul Hewitt's group will give his star freshman plenty of minutes early.</div>

Yeah, Noah is expected to be a force to be reckon with in the paint this season. He's a solid shot blocker and rebounder; but has yet to develop a real offensive game. I think he'll breakout this season and show people why the top flight programs were recruiting him...

Joakim Noah has developed an inside game. He's going to be a beast this year and is probably better than Horford, who everyone is raving about.

    That is Joakim Noah.

btw, that is the reason that he is on this list, you better remember this kids name cause he's gonna be good.

Also don't talk crap about a team you don't know anything about.

Ya I guess, I have no clue who this kid is because Florida has always had real players that have experience when I see them (Mike Miller, David Lee, Matt Walsh, Anthony Roberson, etc.)

I can't wait until they're actually good again....

How do you expect them to get experience? Joakim Noah, Al Horford, and Corey Brewer will be in that bold list in the future. All 3 are potential studs and all 3 are sophmores with a little experience. Brewer and Horford started last year. Also Lee Humphrey will be one of the best shooters in the nation and Taureen Green will actually run the offense rather than jacking up 3 after 3 like Roberson did last year. Our main problem is depth. We only have 8 guys that really can play(9 when Moss comes back in a couple of weeks). Well all I know is the nation better beware of the Gators next year. We only lose 1 player(knocking on wood) and he's our 4th best big man and is injured right now. Our guys are defensive minded, this will be a completely different style of play that you have ever seen. Well at least the future is bright for us with 2 freshman, 4 sophmores and 2 juniors expected to play the bulk of the minutes for us this year. Don't knock them until you see them play.

Aaron Bruce out of Baylor is a scary player. Lots of speed, great court vision and a nice tear drop. He came into reed last year and put on a show. Not a player I look forward to going against twice this year..

If this is an article about underrated players, I do not understand why freshmen with tons of accolades are included. If the article is to tout the players, what is ultimate goal unless we are starting a discussion of the players? No criticism intended here, as I agree all players named are decent or at least were so in high school. I would add as an underrated player, Trent Strickland, at Wake Forest. As a player who is highly talented but under the radar, I would add Tony Skinn at George Mason.

This is like that article about games to watch-it's pretty random.

I started laughing right when I saw Noah's name up there, Gators [IMG] Your boy [IMG]

Nice list man,and thanx for giving Lewis Clinch some recognition.Yea he was the best player not to make it to the All american game,he can score, pass, defend and is a good leaper for his size.He will probably lead my Jackets in scoring,or Morrow, but he will be fun to watch this year.GO JACKETS!

I'm trying to watch Joakim Noah tonight, but he can't stay out of foul trouble. He looks slow in transition for a guy his size. He seems to be stronger than his body size though, banging inside with Eric Williams. So far Taureen Green has been the Gators best player tonight against Wake Forest.

Yeah Noah struggled big time tonight. Taureen Green was very impressive. We really need to get our low post guys involved more tomorrow. We had way too many turnovers though. I'm hoping we can come out with the same agressiveness on defense and win this tourney tomorrow night.
