Just a matter of time, although I thought he and Bauman said they were going to wait 10 days or something.

    Anyway, can we trade him?

bad thing to say to the media. But at some point you do have to look at the situation and say he has atleast half a point even if he is going about it in the wrong way.

Nobody is dumb enough to trade for a player whose contract is over at the end of the year. Well, maybe Milwakee......... [IMG].

I could see Michael Redd as a Sonic, guys?

if we are going to trade why would we trade for another three point specialist? we need another ad-type or a post presence.

If we are going to trade we should talk to sactown about Kenny Thomas who is not being used to his potential at all.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Trying to make a spectacle about lack of playing time or lack of shots is ridiculous," Allen said. "After you lose, it's the wrong time to do it. It's the wrong time because it's easy for everybody to be hunky-dory when you win. That's not me. ... I want to see their character when we lose. That's when true character steps up.

"He's got to know that he's accountable as much as everybody else on the team. Whether it's in practice, being on time for the bus, all of that factors in. We're grown men. Everybody has to take responsibility on their shoulders for what they didn't do right whether you play five minutes or you play 40. I'm very disappointed that he'd do this right now. It's the wrong time."</div>

Allen is making it pretty clear that he isn't a Radmanovic fan.

I have a feeling Bauman told him his statements after the game were hurting his market value and had him do some damage control.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Two things will complicate the trade. One, Radmanovic has veto rights because he signed a one-year tender. Two, any trade means that Radmanovic loses his bird rights, which limits his signing options next summer. Still, at this point, it looks like both sides are headed toward a mutally agreeable divorce. The Sonics need to do something, they're looking as bad as we thought they were going to be last season. </div>

Interesting tidbit from Chad Ford's chatroom transcript.

Let me explain, I was just joking. The Milwakee reference was simply a reference to the trade that brought Ray in exchange for GP. At the time GP was in the last year of his contract (like Vlad is), and Ray was Milwakees best player (like Redd is now).

I am perfectly aware that a trade like this would never go down.

Vlade needs to realize he isn't very good. 42 million was too much for him, and he turned it down. How arrogant is this guy? He never improves....

I'd say the Sonics would be better off trading him for a draft pick, just to be rid of him

    A tidbit of Sonics news:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Blazers coach Nate McMillan, who guided the Sonics a year ago, wasn't surprised about Radmanovic's outburst. "I felt like he would really complain this year about not starting," McMillan told The Oregonian.</div>

What I find most amusing about this whole thing is this quote from Bauman. Because what is happening is exactly what was discussed - at least publicly. Bauman released various stmts via the media saying basically that if a long term deal wasn't reached this summer Rad was leaving. Sund countered by saying if was leaving anyways if they didn't reach an agreement, and he didn't sign what was on the table than the Sonics would be forced to develop the guys who would be part of this team long term and give them the minutes. I remember quite enjoying the public bantar, especially when Rick tossed in that last gotcha.

Rad is a moron, his agent should be fired and so should his hairstylist. Maybe be deserves some more time, but his play on the floor hasn't indicated he would be any more effective than the guys getting the time. The only thing that seems to have improved over the summer is his english. I do hope he turns it around, largely because its paramount to us making the playoffs, but has Rad ever thrown a 20 and 12 game on the board during his time here? I'm not going to fish for the #'s, but my guess is no.

I just can't wait till he is released to free agency and nobody wants him.

Waiting for Bauman to point out that if Vlad played 80 minutes per game he'd be averaging 28, 12 and 4.
