He also spoke to Collier's wife Katie and daughter Ella, who sat near courtside for the tribute, to tell them of the Hawks' love and friendship for their fallen teammates. Collier died Oct. 15 of a heart attack. The Hawks will wear black patches on their jerseys in his honor and several players wear black wristbands with Collier's No. 40 on them. At the end of the year the Jason Collier Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the player who is recognized as the team's most outstanding contributor in the community.</div> Source
