<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Sam Mitchell is looking for some answers for the Raptors' inability to compete and the even money odds on his first solution appears to be Aaron Williams. Williams, a big body if not a long one, "probably" will see more time in the coming games, according to Mitchell. There have been plenty of areas of concern with this club, but the glaring one is the lack of toughness under the basket. Loren Woods, and to a lesser degree Rafael Araujo, have quite simply not been doing the job against the opposition's big men, which creates an opportunity for Williams, a little-used 6-foot-9 centre/forward, to play. Mitchell was not ready yesterday to discuss specific changes to his lineup in detail but when asked about Williams the Raptors coach seemed to tip his hand. </div> Source
I don't know if this is the best solution but I guess anything is better than what we get out of Woods/Araujo. At least Williams will get you rebounds and is pretty solid defensively.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting PlaTsanity:</div><div class="quote_post">Villaneuva cant play C</div> Why not? He's taller than Pape Sow and probably close to the same body weight. The Raptors drafted him to play alongside Bosh, so they might as well get to it right away. The Raptors have no chance at the playoffs and are rebuilding with Bosh, CV, and Graham. Let those three start playing together and start forming the chemistry. The Raptors will have to rely on double teams to help out CV on defense, besides he's not going to do any worse than Woods, Sowe, Williams, or Araujo. Also it forces other teams to figure out how to stop CV. Not many centers are going to be able to chase him up and down the court, and if they put their PF on him, then Bosh benefits from the mismatch. Sam Mitchell has nothing to lose with tinkering with this idea. They might as well figure out if Bosh/CV can play together now, instead of finding out 3 years down the line it's not going to work and having to start all over.
But if they were going to play Bosh and CV together I would be guessing Mitchell would put Bosh at C and CV at PF or Bosh at PF and CV at SF. I don't think CV can guard the majority of the centers in this league.

The Raptors have to start utilizing the one thing they do have, speed and athleticism. Put James, Mo Pete, Graham, Bosh, and CV on the floor at the same time and let them run wild on the court. The style won't get you far in the playoffs, but at least they can create some excitement for the regular season and build off of it.
