<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings' marketing staff made their team and fans look like royal snobs before Tuesday night's game.

As the Pistons were introduced, pictures of burned-out cars, abandoned buildings and empty streets were flashed on ARCO Arena's big screen.

    It didn't go unnoticed.

Coach Flip Saunders said it made him mad. Assistant coach Don Zierden called it inappropriate. After the game, the players -- many of whom didn't notice the images when they were shown -- were angry when they were told what had happened.

And the Pistons -- who had lost eight straight here and hadn't beaten the Kings at home since February 1996 -- spoiled Sacramento's home opener, 102-88.

Maybe that will change the Kings' attitude. Leland Patton, their director of event presentation, said the team plans to create a lead-in for each visiting team.

One can only imagine the sensitivity they'll show when the New Orleans Hornets come to town.

With the victory, Detroit stayed undefeated at 4-0, one of only two unbeaten teams (the other is Washington) left in the league. The Pistons haven't started 4-0 since 1996-97.

Tayshaun Prince had a torrid third quarter, dumping in 19 points. He finished with 25, and Richard Hamilton continued his hot streak with 21.</div>

The Kings and the fans are classless and always have been.

I remember when Shaq broke a record there. A fan wrote an expletive on the game ball. I have no problem with the Maloofs, but the fans and men behind the scenes are classless.

As always the regular season is their time, that's the only time the show up. I guess they are just going out of their way to entertain their fans while they still can. Props to Bjax for bouncing.

I don't know if I'd call them classless, but that right there is just hysterical. I can't wait to see what they do for other visiting teams. Should be the only thing worth watching in ARCO this season.

It's a little low, and I wouldn't call their fans geniuses, but it's still pretty funny. More than that, the Kings need to learn to show up when the games matter. And if you want the most classless fans on the west coast, look no further than McAfee Coliseum come baseball season. Oakland is such a town of bums.

(Jes' kiddin', but A's fans ARE terrible.)

If you want to experience some crazy fans show up to the Dodger game in a San Franciso Giants jersey.

Kings fans are pretty bad, I hate the cowbells, but they weren't the ones responsible showing the video footage. You have to pin that one on the organization. Let's hope the same people aren't there when the New Orleans Hornets come to visit.

I don't know, I'd like to see what they come up with. I could get a kick out of it. Jes' kiddin'. However, if you want to get your skull bashed in, show up at a Sox game with some Yanks gear on. Those bleacher creatures get right surly, they do. Not so with Yanks fan though. You show up in the Bronx with Sox garb, and they'll rib you a little, but they're nowhere near as belligerent. Being a die hard Sox fan, I can still honestly say, the Yankees have better fans, but we're still more knowledgeable.

Aside from that, yeah, it's a little tacky, but I hope nobody loses their job over this.

Not the Kings fans fault, basically all of them were embarrassed about the whole thing. What makes all this worse is the Pistons don't even actually play in the city of Detroit. All the players live in the richest part of Auban Hills as well. It was very offensive to those who live in Detroit and was totally un-called for.
