ya hes a streaky shooter, but he plays with intensity unlike the other guards...derek anderson or rafer alston can't replace wat he has. I'm still thinking if he would go back to shooting guard or point guard with all of our guards ( rafer, da, wesley, barry, head) i would think he still play point guard cause he knows the system better than head and rafer.
It's all about McGrady, when he will be able to return to the court, you will not miss Sura anymore, Skip, Derek Anderson and Stro doing their jobs, but NO-ONE can do Tracy's job, even Yao Ming. No one can do Iverson's job in Philadelphia, it's like the same... you can't ask DA to step-up to Tmac's shoes, only TM can do TM's job- simple. Bobby Sura, he's injured, you can't talk about the injures players, they can't do nothing. The team is not the same without T-mac, poor offense, long positions, too much positions over with a shot clock pressure, The roster have poor Small F with TM, so without TM the situation is worst, we decline George Lynch when he ask for minimum contract, now we're paying in a different way. If there is still option to sign Lynch, we have to sign him.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The point is, with out T-Mac, Yao+Sura+others can win the games? I don't know.</div> Thing wouldn't be much different, but even when McGrady comes back the team will be missing Sura's passion and intensity. He brought good karma to this team, as well as James not to mention. For the most part, the drive and killer instincts that Sura brought to this ball team will feel as if it's missing in the long haul. I for one most def. see Skip getting lackadaisical in certain stretches where Sura on the other hand would only increase his level of play.

The only thing though would be the fact that we would have to cut someone from the roster. Can you find a link to clarify this?
Yeah I want a link for the Lynch thing as well...I've heard nothing of the sort... as far as Sura, I really miss his toughness and versatility...he was one of our best rebounders and also one of our best penetrators...hopefully he comes back by the All-Star break so we can establish some sort of rotation with him... I would love to see this team at full strength...
bob sura is another jon barry.. play well one game .. non present in 4 ... and choke in the playoffs.. we dont really need these type of players... Sorry to tell the truth to ya;'ll..

Sura's the vocal leader of the time and is basically the glue that sticks everyone together. Its true that he doesn't blow you away with his stat chart every night, but he does a lot of things that doesn't show up there unlike the guards we have right now.

Sorry to tell the truth to ya;'ll..</div> Excuse me I don't think you can say that at all about Bob Sura. If it weren't for him we would have for sure lost game 2. Under a minute left and he hits two 3s to bring us within 2. Then T-Mac finished it with his shot. Sura didn't choke but in game seven, but the trueth is he was not capable of keeping up with Jason Terry, being the natural SG he is. Sura is the shiz, he stepped up last season when we needed him to, and in the playoffs until game seven.
last time i remembered the playoff games against dallas when we needed the scrubs to gel (including sura) except for game 1 and 2 when mike james n jon barry were hot. But after that, in much needed wins, they were nonexistant and only yao and mac was in double figures especially in the last game.. Scoring 5 pts, 3 assists in a much needed win game is not playing well im sorry to say and i bet that was what he contributed . But you guys are prolly the same guys who crowned ryan bowen a hero for guarding dirk so well .. in actual fact dirk just had a bad shoooting night... haha... and bowen is contributing to his usual 10 minute 1 point 1 rebound this season ...waste of space. im sure the rocket organization would be better off not relying on washed up vets excluding the ageless deke. hes the only exception... If you want to win in the playoffs you need to have reliable consistent supporting players other than the 2 star players... like eddie jones q rich n joe johnson, steven hunter, (to name a few) was for their respective teams... they showed consistency night in night out..
I agree that Sura didn't have the greatest series last year, but he did well in some games and this was with an injury....and Bowen did what you'd expect Bowen to do.......he's not here to impress you with his numbers, he's strictly a hard nose hustle player that every team needs....and he actually did play pretty good D on Dirk. EDIT First off Q Rich didn't perform well in the playoffs and he didn't play D (that's why he's gone from Phoenix)....the rockets role players are fine, for Christ's sakes it's only the 4th game of the year......... Rockets supporting cast Howard Swift Alston Anderson Barry Head Not all that bad if you ask me.
bowen is a way overrated defender. Hes not close to what people make him out to be..... btw a few games of hustle play dont mean **** its all about consistency and much needed numbers when your team are lacking in that department and need any help they need at this moment.. If he is such a great defender . i wonder what is keeping him from getting blocks, or rebounds or from rockets winning any of their 5 games this season...Our opponents arent necessarily the same caliber as dirk nowitzki?? so whats keeping him from shutting down the star players of sactown, new orleans or orlando? im sorry to say that His 1 pt and 1 rebound in 10 minutes IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH at this level!!your going to bring out dirk again hahaha.. He shut down dirk 2 games and nonexistant in game 3 and 4 <strike>u idiot</strike>.. You want to know what a supporting player hustle player(aside from the obvious rodmans, artests, ben wallaces) should do??? EDUARDO NAJERA n charles OAKLEY.. that is a true hustler . dont bring bowen into this he is not even half of najera nor oak . Im sure i could name a heap of other players who are true hustlers who dont necessarily hav to be a starplayers.. and they deserve to be called that so dont bring out the soft overrated bowen.. <strike>U make me laugh</strike>. [red]What is it with you and insults? ~Locke [/red]
First of all I never said that Bowen's 1 point and 1 rebound were acceptable all that I stated is that he's a hustle player off the bench, he is no Charles Oakley (or Artest,Wallace, or Rodman), so I don't even know where that comparison comes from.....he's not the greatest defender, the greatest athelete, nor the greatest scorer, but he does play hard....I don't think that's overrating him
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting THE DREAM:</div><div class="quote_post">First of all I never said that Bowen's 1 point and 1 rebound were acceptable all that I stated is that he's a hustle player off the bench, he is no Charles Oakley (or Artest,Wallace, or Rodman), so I don't even know where that comparison comes from.....he's not the greatest defender, the greatest athelete, nor the greatest scorer, but he does play hard....I don't think that's overrating him........Now I think someone needs to get layed or something, because it's obvious you're sexually frustrated.</div> 1st of all anybody can play hard.... but this is the nba playing hard without getting rebounds or points is utterly useless... we need results not just a mascot jumpin around without skill... im sorry to tell you this..He is NOT playing hard if he gets only 1 point 1 rebound in 10 minutes.... or if HE IS playing as hard as you say he is and not getting any results he might need to change his profession cuz you cant win in basketball with 1 nighters. i hate to reveal to you that 5'5 earl boykins mogsey bogues could get more rebounds than that man, ..and........ hahaha... talking about basketball gives you thoughts of getting laid thus changing the subject ... all i gotta say is I dont swing that way, but if you do, keep it to yourself .. preferably dont go off topic cuz your in a basketball forum.. u dont have to reveal your sexuality
I'm straight..............you didn't know???..........if you don't believe me just ask your mother.................... and her sister......because they both surely know.
