Slip into the crevices of the defense. Find the open shooters. Shoot the three-pointer only when you have to. Whatever you do, don't stop running.

They pushed Ridnour to push the ball at every opportunity, after missed shots and made baskets. They tossed out comparisons to Magic Johnson and Steve Nash that at the time might have been overzealous and in hindsight appear ridiculous.</div>

Ridnour's probably my biggest dissappoint this early in the season. I expected Vlad to be in a funk and the rest of the guys are getting jerked around with minutes, but Luke's got the ball and open looks that he has no reason not to knock down at this point in his career.

I really expected him to be playing with a lot of confidence after showing signs in the playoffs, and an offseason of lifting and shooting to take his game to the next level.

On a related note, Rashard looks like he's taken a step back. And this is pre-Cleveland. I guess I've forgotton his improvement since his toe injury, but where is the aggression, what did he add to his game in the offseason, is he just not getting the touches or what...

Sure, it's early but both these guys need to turn it around and it needs to happen fast or we'll quickly find ourselves at 2-12 or something horrendous like that.

Yeah, Luke has sucked. Don't know about all these open shots you think he's getting, though. From what I've seen, he's just not being aggressive at all. Part of that is probably the fact that the offensive was geared around him leading the fast break and there are no fast break opportunities. And the fact that he never gets an opportunity to run the pick and roll anymore.

I've been impressed with Rashard so far this year. He has been giving a lot more effort on defense and rebounding. The scoring will come. He's been knocking down contested jumpers and he said in the paper he knows he needs to post up more.

I've definitely noticed him missing a lot of open jumpers as well. It's the thing that's stood out most to me about his game so far this year.
