I need to drop one of my project forwards in Al Jefferson or Kwame Brown, so I can pick up a guard. They've both got potential, but I'm not sure Brown can live up to it, and I'm not familiar with Jefferson's minutes situation. What do you think?
personally, i would easily keep jefferson over kwame. the risk on kwame seems way higher than that on jefferson who has actually proven on the court that he CAN live up to his hype.
It's kind of a toss up in my eyes, because Kwame will get the minutes. He's going to get every opportunity to play 30+ minutes a night, just because of how thin the Lakers are at that position. With Jefferson, he's on a team that, no only has him, but has Raef LaFrentz and Mark Blount on it as well, so he won't be seeing as many minutes as Kwame.
Neither is going to make or break your team. The added benefit with Kwame is he can play C/PF for you. The Lakers are pushing for him to be their primary player in the post. He's been good 1 out of 6 games so far, and plays his best against the superstar PFs, oddly enough. I'm not sure how much PT Al Jefferson is going to get this year. Both LaFrentz and Blount are playing well. I think Jefferson has better potential, but Kwame should have better consistency.
Thanks a lot for the advice. Your right shape, neither one is going to really win matchups for me, I just don't want one of them exploding if I release them. I think I'm probably going to go for Kwame, just because of the minutes issue with Jefferson.
Jefferson only played in limited minutes early on because he was coming back from an injury that took him out of action for most of camp. He's coming back to full strength now, and he's getting better by the game. I wish I was in your league so I could pick him up.

i'd say its best to drop both of them. jeffersons good but he doesnt look like he'll get much playin time as of now since lafrentz is playing better. i'd forget about him becoming starter anytime soon. kwame's injured and he just doesnt seem to have good basketball sense. if u really want to keep one of them, then i'd stick with jefferson, but ur probably better off pickin a guy like nick collison, david west, channing frye, or even steven hunter (until dalembert comes back anyway) if they're still available. gluck.
