well, there isnt a preview yet, so until there is one, discuss all the game here. its going to be a tough game for me to watch since i wont know who to root for. (im a sixers and lakers fan) so i guess i'll just be rooting for the team that's behind.
after the first quarter, sixers lead 25-27. iggy has been doing a nice job shutting down kobe bryant so far. (KB has 1 point) if iggy continues his good D, then the sixers will have a great chance at winning.
Well the 76ers up by one right now, but the score is deceiving they have completely dominated the Lakers. The only guy giving us a problem is Mihm he got so many easy buckets. John Salmons came off the bench and has been playing great so far. AI has ten points, and Webber had one incredible dunk, but they did not count it.
It’s so hard for me to watch Kyle Korver play he is the definition of inconsistent. He has twenty the other night after struggling his first couple games now he has missed six straight shots.
My bad on the preview, something came up. I might not be able to handle all those previews after all. I practicaly had it done to but decided not to post it becuase it would have been late.
Kobe 3-14 in the 1st Half, give it up to Iggy defending him perfectly so far. The 76ers should be up by 12 right now, but Kyle Korver is missing WIDE open shots. I cannot believe the Lakers are winning this game despite Kobe's off night. Real ugly game so far from both teams, hopefully Kobe gets it going in the 2nd half to steal a win in Philly. Lakers haven't won there since the 2001 Finals, I'd love for that streak to end tonight.
This is the first game Im able to watch this season and Im impressed.I haven't had this much fun since I don't know when.Everytime Kobe misses I laugh like a little girl and point a finger on him. Only bad thing is that we make Chris Mihm look like a friggin MVP,hope that changes in the 2nd half.
I think Korver forgot his shot at home what a horrible night for him he had one nice play in which he was able to draw a foul and hit the sot, but outside of that he has been a non-factor. Salmons came off the bench scored five quick points I think he ended the half with that he could have had seven, but he missed a give me shot off a nice Iverson pass. AI is playing really bad right now he has a lot of points, but he is jacking up shots left and right, and missing so many easy shots. We need to get Iguodala involved more on the offensive end is all I have to say. No field goal attempts by Andre so far...
Korver picked a bad night to leave his shot at home as BKS put it. With Salmons playing well, and Iguodala shutting down Kobe the Sixers should be up by double digits like shape said. Let's see how this turns out...
Iverson has gotten his shot back on track here in the second half, but the 76ers have no answer for Lamar Odom. Korver has actually hit two shots in this quarter, but he is costing the 76ers more than helping them with his bad ball handling skill, and shot selection. Meanwhile, Salmons is proving how superior he is to Korver by penetrating to the basket, and getting easy buckets.
Anyone notice how Laron Profit looks like a Kobe-clone on TV from far away? He has the yellow arm band on his elbow, he has the black shoes, he has the same body type, he has the same haircut, his number is even close, #9. His free throw ritual is even identical to KB8's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe comes through when it counts. 5 straight points to tie it up.</div> Good thing he misses the three pointer though. Thank you Andre, for doing a great job against Bryant. And thank you Iverson, for making that 22.9 seconds left shot with the assist from Korver. Sixers pull out but almost gave it up in the final two minutes ish after a strong beginning in the fourth.
The Lakers offense was so damn frustrating tonight. No one is moving around, everyone was just holding the ball and being so indecisive with it. 76ers swarm defense was disrupting the Lakers offense like crazy. Reminded me of the Pistons in the Finals against the Lakers. Lakers 4th quarter woes continue.
Great win by the 76ers, but they shouldn't be content with this W. A win is a win in this league of course but when you look at the bigger picture you wolud hope that the 76ers would have taken advantage of their lockdown on Kobe and actually blown the Lakers out. Regardless a win is a win no matter what circumstances you win by, I just thought the Lakers were to close in the game for Kobe struggling as he was.
Just noticed Iggy had ZERO fouls despite the hounding defense. Also Iverson out shot the entire Laker team at the FT line.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Just noticed Iggy had ZERO fouls despite the hounding defense. The Sixers are playing spirited defense, which is good to see, but they need to start making teams pay when they make mistakes. The Lakers practically served up a W but Philly couldn't seem to get buckets consistently and kept the door open until AI slammed it shut w/4 seconds to go. Nice to get the W, but they made it way too difficult.
