I dont think its Stro's attitude or work ethic that has been his downfall this season...he just has had a difficult time grasping the schemes, plain and simple...he doesnt understand where to rotate defensively or when and where to screen offensively...but he's always staying after practices, and spends a lotta time working with Deke and Ewing on post play...he's shown immense progress the past 2 or 3 games and I expect that improvement to continue...he has yet to find when and where he can get his points and positioning on defense...once he gets that down, he'll be just fine...

Just because they are physically similar doesn't mean Stro can be a KG......that's like saying Tayshaun Prince can be Tmac.

Well, get this. Swift is actually a better athlete than KG and a stronger player. The thing is that while KG has been busting his butt working at his game ever since he entered the NBA, Swift has always been underachieving and lazy. Garnett's rebounding, defense, shooting and ability to score in a variety of ways is not hereditary and is something that he has worked on to achieve. If Swift can dedicate himself, it won't be far-fetched to say he'll be a 20/10 guy.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting moeinhouston:</div><div class="quote_post">Garnett - STRO = passion and hustle every game.

There is no sub for passion and hustle. Physically they are similar. KG made himself into a good shooter and passer. STRO has the tools, he has worked on his midrange game, but that extra effort and will to win just doesn't seem to be there all the time.
He brings what the Rockets needed though. He is inconsistant, but other than ALL STARS what player doesn't have the same problem. What upsets people is that many dont understand how such a gifted player doesn't perform better. He doesn't have to be a star on this team though.</div>
Looool did i just see some 1 comparing stro with KG and K-mart??? Both are the real deals. They don't deserve to be compared to Stro... K-mart is playing better even after the injury than stro is being fit. And for KG. he is the greatest forward of all time......especially what he did the last 2 years with triple doubles every game(or close to).... Lets dont mistake the athleticism of stro;s dunks that you occasionally see in highlights to his actual skill..... Just because josh smith and JR rider have all the athleticism in the world to make monster dunks doesnt mean they automatically can be an allstar.. If you want a better comparison he can be compared to the overly hyped tim thomas... another player that they overhyped saying that he had athleticiism but never quite performed....

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4life:</div><div class="quote_post">Actually, last night was by far his best game. He was been progressing and I've been impressed with his energy. </div>

His best game and he only had 2 rebounds whilst playing alongside a very ordinary rebounder in Ming?

exactly.....and add to the fact that Garnett is 6'11 and has a longer wingspan than Stro.....there have been only a few players at Garnetts postition in NBA history, that have the skill that he does.

Garnett wasn't born with those skills. He worked on his passing, shooting and dribbling game every chance he got, and that's what has made him an All-World player. Swift has everything that Garnett has and more, it's just that he has never worked hard enough on developing those skills. That has been the tag on Swift throughout his career.

I agree that stro can get better with hardwork, but hardwork can only take you so far........Garnett is a special type of player that only comes around everynow and then...just because you're an athlete and tall doesn't neccessarily make you as skilled as other players, yes swift has a lot of raw talent, but so do a lot of other players......the two should never be compared, because KG is in a whole different league.
