Too late for this move. No1 is going 2 trade for a bum of a center who can barely play minutes because he's always in foul trouble. That contract makes it even worse. Maybe next year they can dump him for cheaper if they Amnesty rule is still up.

I hope he's added into one of the portland or denver rumors, because that would be interesting to see how it pans out. Portlands got Joel and Theo while Denver is having to use Najera to play the minutes Nene would've gotten had he not been injured.

I just hope he gets shipped and the Knicks get someone useful or atleast someone better than Jerome James on there roster, they've already got 2 centers Channing Frye and Eddy Curry but the talk of playing Frye as a Power Forward im not sold on yet, unless he gets the major minutes there.

All in all, I do agree with you. No one wants JJ but I can dream cant I?

The Nets need a big but I doubt they would want him because of the foul trouble he is always in.

Lol, yeah, Isiah Thomas is a loser for getting in this huge mess in New York, Jerome James resting with a fat contract, Quentin Richardson chucking up endless 3's, headaches in Jerome Crawford and Stephon Marbury, and a 0-5 record. I actually hope they win against Sacremento tonight, but I doubt it will happen.

Isiah is such an idiot, he seriously doesn't know anything about anything, especialy money and contracts. Why would he sign JJ and then try to trade him away because of his bad form.why not wait a year so he can improve under LB, then if you still want to trade him he has a higher trade value.

next time he should put the player on trial and watch him play first before hastily signing them and only a few weeks after the season starts he changes his mind... What a retard. The man gets about 2 million a year.. at least BE SURE of who hes getting .... But yes JJ does SUCK! at least yao ming gets his 18 points along with the 6 fouls compared to JJ's 1.2 pts 5 fouls avg [IMG]

The Knicks have talent, that's a given. But I think it's the wrong mix of talent. Isiah has made some good moves, but sometimes he over does things. I don't see why you would have Jamal Crawford and Quentin Richardson on the same team. Both play the EXACT same way. Second, why sign Antonio Davis when you have Frye, Taylor, James, Curry all taking up the PF/C positions. Matt Barnes is a key role player, and it's a shame he's sharing minutes with players who aren't as effective as him. Nate Robinson and Lee are great rookies, but it seems like they won't get to properly mature because they have some washed up talent in front of them. If I were Isiah, I would stop trying to hit the "homerun" and just focus on making the little moves.

Sorry, the amnesty rule was a one time thing. also, even if it wasn't, it wouldn't take his huge contract off the payroll.

Jerome James? I don't think we're THAT desperate, nor will we be in the near future. Not only is he out of shape, foul prone, and has a humongous contract, he also sucks at defense, which is our main need, and also sucks at scoring in the paint, which is another must for us. He's useless and will probably NEVER be a Net.

Let's not forget why we signed JJ in the first place. Yes he does suck but he had a really good playoff last year and with the departure of K. Thomas over the summer we were really hurting for a true big man. If we had any clue or inclination that we would get Curry from Chicago you all know that Zeke would not have pulled the trigger on this 7'0 dead weight dude. Now I agree the best thing for us to do with him now is to whip him into some shape and make him at least "tradeable"; who knows he may even show us something in the meantime. Right now Zeke is ice skating uphill trying to unload JJ with that huge John Koncak like contract he has.

Right now Jerome James is a $5million insurance policy for Eddy Curry. I agree with the above poster, JJ would never have been signed if Isiah knew he was going to land Curry. Isiah has never been patient in negotiations and usually ends up on the wrong side of a deal. The money he paid JJ was about right for a capable 7 footer in the league. However, the length of the contract was absurd, and makes it impossible to trade him.
