probably cuz Mendez is Canadian, from Toronto area, and it would then be suggested that the Raps pick him up for a look to see if he could help. IMO we need someone bigger but he COULD be able to grab some boards and bring some toughness on the interior. At what 6'9 tho he could be too small for what we need which is really a bigger center.
^He's from Montreal. Anyways, probably because he is way overrated in this country, and is not better than players like Bryant Mathwes or Toree Morris, if as good. He's cocky too, which ain't good when you're not good.
