Someone offered me Francis for Marbury, would you guys take it? I think there is a good chance that Marbury will get traded to a team where he has more freedom, and his stats will go up. Francis is beating him in nearly every catergory except for shooting percentages (which is important to me). What should I do? Stephon Marbury 2005-06 Statistics PPG 18.2 RPG 3.6 APG 4.8 SPG .40 BPG .00 FG% .451 FT% .550 3P% .417 MPG 40.4 Steve Francis 2005-06 Statistics PPG 20.8 RPG 6.2 APG 5.8 SPG 1.20 BPG .40 FG% .424 FT% .710 3P% .222 MPG 40.4
I really don't like either, but Steve Francis is playing better than Stephon Marbury so far. I think Stephon will stay in NY, but with Thomas running the show you never know, NY probably would be better if they can get someone good for Marbury and let Crawford start at point. Anyway back to the point, it's a tough decision, you left off turnovers out which Francis usually is terrible at, I don't know what it is now, but it's really up to you. Personally, I would keep Marbury because I'm pretty sure he'll pick it up and at the end out perform Francis.

I'm still not sure whether or not to take this trade. Larry Brown vastly limits the value of pgs, especially their threes. Anyone else?
I wouldn't do it. Francis will continue to get his scoring oppurtunities in Orlando and he continues to fill the stat sheet each night. Francis is one of the best rebounding guards and he also provides assists game in and game out (this stat should increase now that Dwight Howard is getting more touches as well). I say go with Francis because Marbury has been having problems with his coach and the ball is spread around quite a bit in New York.
