Ummmm .. who would you rather have?

    Charlie doubter here!!! [IMG]

Well actually, i WAS a doubter until now..... after watching these past 2 games i'm jumping on the Charlie bandwagon. He's great at putting the ball on the floor, has a nice soft touch around the rim, can hit a shot from anywhere on the court, and he surprises a lot of ppl on the offensive boards too.... if he can work on his defence, then he'd be a beast.

Anyways, I too was like most Rap fans and yelled at my tv screen as soon as stern announced the Raps chose CV w/ the 7th pick...... but if Charlie can keep up with this kind of performance, then i'd be more than happy to be wrong...

btw, i know this is off-topic, but after hearing about how active CV is in helping children who have alopecia areata, I couldn't help but notice how Michael Jackson was never active in helping others with his disease (Vitiligo)...... hhmmm, so i guess he's been faking it afterall (not that it's that big of a surprise anyways)....

I have not been a guy who doubted Villanueva's ability to play in the NBA-the kid is showing us why he was picked so high.

I am a doubter of his selection as a fit on that team, and looking at their record, he has not been able to get them the wins, which is also a big part of being a top pick. Obviously these things take time, and we're still early in the year.

So what we've got right now is that we know that Villanueva is a legit NBA player, with immense potential, and playing on a really bad team. That's pretty much what I expected from him this year.

CV31 is doing his best to help get the wins, so is Calderon. If anyone is at fault it is the guys who SHOULD be doing well, the vets.

Rose, Peterson, Bosh and James are the ones who need to be playing under control. Playing smart basketball. I find they are making more mistakes than the rookies are. They are rushing their offense, they are not playing good positional defence, they are not bringing it the way they need to early on in the game.

Our slow starts are killing us. It is too hard to fight back from a 15+ deficit to try to win it at the end.

Also, it's like a catch 22. They are too worried about getting the win. They need to start worrying about bringing it hard from the tip off to the end buzzer. If they do that, the wins will take care of themselves.

Rose, Peterson, Bosh and James all want a win so badly....they are all taking it upon themselves to deliver that win. They are forcing their games too much and playing way to much 1 on 1 for the team to get that win.

When they slow things down and play as a team is when they will get their first win.

Another great game by CV31 last night, do you think it's time to slide him into the starting lineup yet?

By no later than 5 games after the All-Star break, I want to see this lineup:

    PG - Jose Calderon
    SG - Joey Graham
    SF - CV31
    PF - Bosh
    C - Don't care...maybe Pape Sow

Well now we can safely say Charlie V is for real after 2 monster games and a ton of solid games...

He is the real deal, and his lack off work supposedly isn't showing. This guy can play.

Also, Graham had a great game today vs. Philly and hopefully that can break him out of his slump.

Graham was getting so many offensive fouls, he need to watch that off arm. I'd like to see a little more from him though, I haven't really seen anything I can associate with him yet. Yea he's strong, he can score inside, but offensively, I can't really say what kinda of player he is, and defensively, he's only been okay. He had some nice dunks last night though...

I'd like to see this as our starting 5:

    PG - Calderon
    SG - James
    SF - Mo Pete
    PF - Charlie V.
    C - Bosh

I know bosh isn't a natural centre and he gets pushed around against the bigs .. but that's honestly where i feel he's playing the best so far this season. He hasn't been effective spotting out on the wings and trying to drive and create his own shot.. but he's been amazing on the glass so that's why i'd want him down low.

I like the calderon/james back court because i feel that James is a better player when jose is on the floor.. I like james our on the wing driving to the basket but not necessarily taking it from the point... it seems like when he's out there he's just trying to get to the side to drive to the basket anyways.

Mo Pete .. well he's just there for D .. i could handle mo, jalen, joey pretty much anyone else at the 3 spot .. but i like having the other 4 guys where there at.

In the future someone else in the centre preferably and bosh and cv could each slide down a spot .. but right now it's just a joke trying to get aaron williams, hoffa , woods on the floor ... none have really done anything .. Hoffa is doing alright at times, but i don't think he should start because he gets tired so quickly and seems better coming off the bench.

i wasn't doubting his skills, but i also thought he shouldn't have been picked so high, but he's a good solid player, so far ROY of the year is pchris paul or villanueva

I've always had confidence in CV. I was happy when we drafted him (yes, I know it wasnt the proper pick). He was one of my favourite players in the Big East and NCAA

unless rose is traded i dont see him being on the bench
    just because he'll cry again
and Sam Mitchell listens to the media so much that he'll put Rose back
