<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ktrulez:</div><div class="quote_post">pick your cancer... im sure rose would be happy, playing for a playoff team...</div> Tim Thomas is not a cancer he is just annoying. Plus he gives us huge cap relief at the end of the season something Rose would not. Like I posted a couple of posts above this Paxson said he has no intention on trading Thomas so I don?t know where you would even come up with a trade for Rose. If a trade ever happened it would likely involve several expiring contracts returning to Chicago or a future draft selection.
Yeah, exactly what Best Kept said, Paxson is looking towards the end of the year when the Bulls get a massive cap relief thanks to Tim Thomas. Plus as Skiles said on Mac, Jurko, Harry the other day, its not that there hasn't been a place for Tim, there will be time to play him, but he hasn't been healthy enough to get him into the rhythm of the team during practice.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting number99:</div><div class="quote_post">lol lets trade him and one other guy for kg</div> Someone please slap this kid. . TT is only their for the contract. why the hell would the Wolves trade for KG. Who would the wolves want?
Lol... I love his trade ideas! Give McHale a call, see if he'll take Pike and Tim Thomas for KG, sounds good to me... we'll resign Frank Williams and throw him in too.
What up Fedex, nice to see you postin here. Anyways, if this idiot's gonna complain about his playing time just waive him or put him on the IL. From what I've seen, he's been productive, and perhaps even worthy of more minutes than what he's getting, but he didn't show me enough to give him a solid bench role. He's here for one thing and one thing only: cap relief. If he can do other things, sure, good, that's a bonus, I didn't expect too much from him. If he's gonna bitch and moan, waive him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Best Kept Secret:</div><div class="quote_post"> or that Skiles did not notice.</div> Skiles probably couldnt give a flying ***** about Thomas and where he watches the game he gotta focus on coaching and winning.
LoL, I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual Tim. The funny thing is that he's probably more effective for the Bulls when he doesn't get any minutes. If he was smart, he'd realize that the piece of paper that he signed so long ago is more valuable than his sorry ass.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> While Skiles sounded confident about Gordon, he had no encouraging words for Tim Thomas, inactive for three of the four games on the West Coast trip. Thomas didn't sit on the bench for two of those games, and Skiles said he never glanced down the bench to notice. Thomas, the Bulls' highest-paid player at $14 million in the last year of a contract, last week said a trade is in his future. The Bulls could negotiate a release, which would be costly, if they can't package him in a trade. Or they could do nothing, but they risk a price when it comes to intangibles like chemistry. "To me it's a non-issue," Skiles said of Thomas' benching. Thomas wasn't at practice Tuesday. Bulls spokesman Tim Hallam said it was because of a family matter.</div> <div align="center">Chicago Tribune</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> On paper, the Bulls need someone like Tim Thomas. At 6 feet 10 inches, Thomas is one of their tallest players behind Tyson Chandler and is one of their more versatile forwards. The nine-year veteran has been a starter most of his career with mixed reviews. But he hasn't been good enough to play regularly for the Bulls (4-5), even though their record is mediocre and they still are experimenting with rotations. Apparently Thomas is missing a few attributes coach Scott Skiles and general manager John Paxson cherish as much as they value talent. "A lot of it goes to learning what we're doing, doing what's being asked of you," Paxson said Wednesday. "Those are things we address on the practice floor every day. One thing I admire about Scott is that he'll give the guys a chance if they earn it out here." After overcoming a slow beginning riddled with injuries, Thomas has lagged behind his teammates when it comes to grasping critical details in practices and in games. Even more condemning, Skiles said weeks ago, he hasn't worked as hard as everyone else. Skiles has used Thomas sparingly in just three games. The benchings led Thomas to speculate about a trade last week. His hunch is correct, but the Bulls aren't in a hurry to get rid of him. "There's nothing on the horizon in terms of resolving if he wants to move on," Paxson said. "We have a plan that looks beyond tomorrow. We have a plan that looks into next year and beyond that. We have to use the contracts we have the right way." Thomas' expiring contract, which will pay him $14 million this season, could be a valuable bargaining chip if the Bulls position themselves for a trade later this season. His contract status made him appealing to the Bulls in October when they unenthusiastically agreed to trade Eddy Curry and Antonio Davis to New York in exchange for Thomas and Michael Sweetney.</div> <div align="center"> Chicago Tribune</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After five straight games on the Bulls' inactive list, veteran forward Tim Thomas has been moved to the really inactive list. Operations chief John Paxson announced Monday that he and Thomas have reached a mutual understanding in which Thomas no longer will be an active member of the team but will remain on the roster for the time being. Thomas, 28, won't be released but will be allowed to stay with his family in the New York area while Paxson explores trade possibilities. ''Tim has made some comments about being here, and I have mentioned that he is at a different stage of his professional career than most of our guys,'' Paxson said. ''He wants to play, and right now we're in a position where that's probably not going to happen here. ''I don't want to put Tim and my coach in a position where every day they have to answer the question of when he's coming off the inactive list and why he's not playing.'' After being a starter for most of his career, Thomas appeared in three of the Bulls' 11 games, averaging 4.3 points in 10.7 minutes. A week ago, coach Scott Skiles was asked if Thomas could help the team at some point this season, and Skiles replied, ''I don't know.'' Before the start of the team's recent West Coast trip, Thomas complained about his lack of playing time, saying the team would be better off trading him if he wasn't going to play. Essentially, the Bulls agreed Monday. ''We're going to try to accommodate him,'' Paxson said. ''But we're going to do what we have to do as an organization. We're not going to do anything that's going to set us back. ''There's this perceived thing that because he's a highly paid player, he should be playing. It's never been about that with us.'' Thomas' contract situation complicates a trade because he is making $13.97 million this season in the final year of his deal. For the Bulls to trade Thomas, they would have to receive back roughly $14 million in contracts.</div> <div align="center"> Sun Times</div>

I love the way he has that pained look on his face, like if he doesn't hoist a dumb-as-hell three soon, his hands are going to burst into flames. All the while, he's dancing around like he's going to drop on deuce right on his team's bench, preferrably in Scott Skiles' chair.

Now that Bulls brass has told Thomas to stay home in New York until the team decides either to trade or cut him, Duhon has this to say of Thomas: "He was a guy you didn't have problems with.
