Well round two starts tonight. I'm willing to bet we win this one. Nice and rested, defense looks good, and I hope Rip Hamilton chokes before the game. Jes' kiddin', not hating Rip, he's a helluva player, but we'll earn this one. I just don't think the Pistons are as good as everyone says. This'll be our first big statement of the year.
Considering this is in the palace, the Pistons SHOULD win easily. They can't play as badly as they did in Boston. Obviously ther Celtics aren't on the same level as the Pistons but they do match-up fairly well with the Pistons so It wouldn't surprise me too much If It is close. That said I will be shocked If the Celtics win this one. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I just don't think the Pistons are as good as everyone says</div> So you keep saying, quite funny really. That is the same quote I have heard the past two years. The NBA isn't the same without fans doubting the Pistons. I like It that way,

Just for you, Thrilla, Celtics Beat tells me that Click Five is a local band just reaching the national stage, and that's why they'll be playing in the Garden. I still don't like them.
The C's played extremely well last game, especially at the defensive end last game as opposed to Detroit having a BAD game. The key to this game is to get production from the bench...and most importantly, KEEP BRIAN SCALABRINE OFF OF THE DAMN COURT!! I'd rather see Lucky out there! One.

Hold on...Did Mark Blount just yoke it on Rasheed Wallace and then drop one on Ben Wallace's neck in back to back plays? Yeah, I thought so. One

Gomes is first off the bench, I like what I see.
Here's to my theory as to why Darko lost the ball on the baseline when Scalabrine was on him: He looked up and saw who was defending him and said to himself "Ooh! I can bust his @ss!" and he got so anxious with the move he was gonna to juke Red and make a Darko poster that he lost the ball. Any other subscribers to my "wanna make a memorable photo with Brian" theory. My brother pointed out to me that the dog on Family Guy's name is Brian but Brian Scalabrine is ruining the name for Brian's worldwide. I was like "Even Brian Austin Green?" and he nodded his head affirmatively. Interesting stuff, huh?... Celts are up 37-27. One.
Ten points at the half? I'll take it. More than that though, I'll take more contributions like this from Ricky, he looks sharp. We need to avoid dropping the ball early in the third like we did against the Spurs, do that, and we can go home with a coaster. How about Doc actually using his timeouts wisely? That's new.
Well, we're hardly getting blown out here in the third, but we could be running the floor better. With increased attention being paid to Ricky and Blount, perhaps Pierce should be heading to the basket. And perhaps we shouldn't be settling for Raef's threes. Other than that, I am absolutely loving the way this team is playing the game. Fun to watch, and winning too, what a bonus.
Four points into the fourth? I like it, I really do. Justa little more good work from the starters, and we can walk away winners. Why don't we take a page out of Red's old book and have Scalabrine pull a Jim Loscutoff and just decapitate Chauncey Billups? Then we're in the clear, the Pistons got nothin' with Arroyo running the offense. Perhaps it's a little early in the year to be thining like that.
Well. That was a poorly officiated 3rd quarter! The Celtics are gonna have to tighten it up and move the ball better in the 4th. The fast break game flew out the window and Chauncey just took over. They need to initiate the up tempo transition game and pull this one out tonight. I wanna see ESPN after they win this game BADLY! Word of advice: GET SCALABRINE OUT OF THE GAME!! PUT IN PERK!! One.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 44Thrilla:</div><div class="quote_post">I can't believe they called that a flagrant foul.</div> Same here, looks like that black official has finally had enough of Doc's whining. So it's back to Boston with an L, if this keeps up.
Damn, the Celtics are just letting the pressure get to them and they are falling apart. It's gut check time for the C's in this last 5 minutes. Where'd everyone go? I'm the only one here now? One.
How upsetting is it when we play great for 2 and a half quarters, taking a big lead against the Pistons in Detroit...but then play like crap and give the game right back? I hate these games more than anything. Haven't totally lost faith yet...
Wow, call me a sore loser, but it sure looks like the refs just took this one into their own hands. that's isn't to say the Pistons aren't playing well, that certainly isn't true, but I don't like how this second half is working out.
