I think he should be starting in the next game. Rose was great off the bench last year maybe they gotta move him back there and get some good minutes out of him before starting him or maybe a trade is need to move Peterson or Rose to clear up some playing time for Calderon with James.

Calderon has been exceeding expectations and playing great. He should be the starter by no later than the All-Star break.

Jose Calderon is great, half the people I mention his name to dont even know who he is but I think they'll know soon enough. Calderon has played great for the Raptors, and he's a great PG. Mike James and Jose Calderon work great together on the floor, its like what the Bulls do with Hinrich and Duhon for there lineup. The Raptors should try a small gaurd combo of the two to start a game and see if it works more than our other lineup(s) work.

it certainly works and many games show that...like the seattle game when they caught up to the sonics...or the second quarter in the away sixers game...or today against the heat...

I love the guy, I just love his game. He always wants to pass the ball, and whenever he is in the game the intensity level seems to go way up; he just changes the whole tempo just being in the game, he doesn't even need the ball to do it. He's always talking, and pointing, on defense or offense. He is definately going to start well before the seasons end.

Jose has been solid so far, and looks like he could turn into a good NBA PG. I like the fact that there's 2 good PG's battling for the starting position. It seems to be bringing out the best in both of them.

If we could fuse James and Calderon into one player, we'd have one of the best PG's in the league on our team.

Calderon would be dropping 15 dimes a night if given the minutes, which haven't been too high or consistent. I've never seen him play (I will today when Raptors play the almighty Warriors) but his numbers are great, and he was a good pick up for my Fantasy team. I'm just waiting for him to get 35+ mins a night.

Nobody on the Barneys is where he is at mentally in the game. He's way ahead of everyone playing out there. Maybe the only guy who really gets that they NEED to get Bosh his touches throughout the game

Calderon is only going to get better. He can be a Steve Nash type player running the offense, but with less ability to create his own shot and score

    I love the guy's game

    Have fun..................

Good playmaker, takes risky passes (which is not really a bad thing), not as a good of a shooter then I expected, should penetrate more.

I can?t watch the matches on tv.
James is actually playing as SG?

Do you think Jalen Rose will be fired at the end of the season as Allan Houston or other?

Yes, Mike James is actually playing SG.

Jalen Rose cannot be "fired". The most likely scenerio is that we trade him, if we do anything with him. If you by 'firing Rose, you mean "releasing", then no, that scenerio is very very unlikely. He still has this year plus next year on his contract (around 16 million), so he'll be a trade assest this off-season, as teams would like to acquire him and his expiring contract.
