I think Babcock did a great job on our three rookie pick ups this year. Calderon has been playing wonderful with the exception of last nights game against Phila.

CV31 is becoming a stud. He has a viable shot at making ROY.

Joey Graham has not quite figured it out, but it looks worse on him the fact the other two rookies are doing so well. He will be a little more up and down than the other two. You can see however how good this guy is going to be. All Star, not likely but a very solid pro.

He needs to figure out how to get to the hole. That is his strength and he is yet to find a way to do it in the NBA. When he does, watch out. We have a great core.

Saying I don't expect much from this club this year is redundant. I think we have a shot at getting the #1 draft pick next year which would be great.

Rudy Gay and Andrea Bargnani and the project 1 and 2. Now we DON'T need another PF in Bargnani. Gay would be a nice addition though. Another year at UConn will do him wonders.

We could also trade the pick gift wrap in a Jalen Rose wrapping paper and get a really solid vet. Perhaps Magloire or another 5.

So though I don't think we have a good team right now, I think our future is one of the brightest in the NBA.

The rookies are good stuff... and you didnt even point out ukic who i think will be something and slokar who will be better than bonner imo, he really impressed in the summer league this past summer... seeing how denver's current situation and how they are playing, i wont be suprised if we get 2 lotto picks or pick lose to the lotto say... 16-18. thats another 2 solid players... we would have an extremely young and talented core, making mopete and rose very tradable pieces, especially mopete -- who has a great contract and should be a good pickup for some teams.

As much as we are glutted in the big department, if we dont land Gay with our first pick, i would like us to trade down for shelden williams. he will then be the C we desperately need. defensive beast, rebounding monster, and has a solid array of move down low. there are a couple of players i really like in this upcoming draft and grabbing one of them will do for me, gay, shelden williamsn, brewer, and carney.

The idea of packaging our #1 pick and rose for some proving talent isnt a bad idea, but we gotta have some takers. as for magloire, we should wait for the 07 offseason where he can be had easily in the offseason. with that being said the 07offseason is the defying moment in the raptors history, where they would actually have cash to go after for some pieces and compete for the championship.

I would rather stuggle this year then to see a 1st rounder be traded cause we can develop now and then we will have a good core for the future but i think we gotta start winning soon if we want to resign CB4 maybe trade the pick that we have from denver?

I know this is really early, but we're probably going to get one really high pick and another decent one. If you look at nbadraft.net the top prospects are PF's and SF's. In fact, the entire draft is pretty much the forward positions, with some good guards here and there. We've got two young developing point guards in Calderon and Ukic. We've got Rose and MoPete at SG. We just drafted Graham and Villanueva at the 3. Bosh is at the 4. The only real immediate need is at the center spot. And I don't really see anyone on the board who can play center in the NBA. Of course we could draft a young SG for when Rose leaves, or another PG in case Roko doesn't pan out, but would you consider trading either of our picks to get a legit center? Rudy Gay looks like he could be a superstar in the League, so I'm sure we could get somebody very good in return. What do y'all think?

agree in a sense that there isnt any C's in this draft other than shelden williams and aldridge... wont dont need another PG thats for sure, not in the first round anyways. if gay is gone i say we go big with either aldridge or shelden williams... i prefer williams... with the current state of the Raptors, it looks like they are a top3 locked pick team. with that being said drafting shelden williams top 3 is way too high i say around the 5-8 area is best... that means babcock can hopefully trade down and get some talent... if we do in fact trade down and shelden williams goes like 4th for example we still have pretty decent pool of players left... morrison, brewer(like him alot), carney... i also so babcock using the second pick on a euro and stashing him there, so he doesnt have to pay until we are ready to bring him over... saves some cap space for the 07offseason and then bring him over... players like rudy fernandez, aleksandrov, tomas, etc...
