With a 0 still lingering in the loss column, Sam and the coaching staff better be making major adjustments on the defensive end to avoid another humiliating performance and prevent playing catch up for the rest of the game. <font face=""Comic Sans MS"">- Great Start: In 6 of the 7 losses, we came out luthargic and seemed in disinterested in much of the 1st quarter. Given the fact that we're one of only two squads that haven't tasted a win yet, we can not afford to come with this mentality. We can't afford to go down big in the early stages and then start climbing up, because in most nights, teams in this league will push you off the latter. <font face=""Comic Sans MS"">- Feed Bosh: When will Sam take notice that Jalen, Mo and James are killing us in every game? Although he has to demand the ball a little bit more, we didn't look for Bosh at all at the late stretches last night. We must realize, let me rephrase that, these three must realize that he's our best player and the cornerstone of our franchsie, thus every time on offence he has to get a touch. If it doesn't come from Sam, then nobody will step up and say anything, which would dig a deeper hole. Look for a big game from Chris. ....... Game Matchup: vs Chris Webber vs Chris Bosh I was anything but happy with Chris's defensive performance last night. Although Webber is consdierably passed his prime, and had gone through a microscopic surgery that took away most of his explosiviness and atheltisism, he managed to blow by the former Yellow Jacket on almost every Iso play that was called for him. Bosh has to understand that he doesn't have to run at Webber all the time. Just stand infront of him and contest the shot but don't give him a free ride to the lane, specially with our exposed interior defence. Offensively, Bosh must look to put the ball on the floor every time and go hard to the basket. Nobody, and I repeat, NOBODY on that Sixer squad can handle CB, the least of which is Webber. Agressiveness and intelligence is the key for success for Bosh to win this matchup. ....... The X-Factor: Jose Calderon Let me guess, you're a rookie coming from Europe and you're given the assignment to guard Allen Iverson for two straight nights. Emmm, you're probably going to get exposed. But that wasn't the case last niught-although Iverson did score 34 points, but when doesn't he?-as Jose did a respectable job on AI in the majority of the time, despite the uncharacteristic 5 tunrovers he committed due to Iverson's constant pressure. Look for Jose to adjust to him tonight, and be much more efficient on offence, as he usually is. Jose will be a big key for the Raps first victory tonight. ....... Say What?! (Prediction) I never do this, but I'm going on a limb to guarentee a win tonight. We just have to win. No way around it. Raps get their first W of the season, 99-85. .......

i dont mind a win tonight in the ACC... heck we need it... but i dont mind getting the #1 pick as well so...
num 1 pick= Rudy Gay (ex-team mate of CV31 at college) anywyas raps playing bad right now end of first and we're down badly IVerson is once again owning us
Sixers get 40 to end the first quarter, and AI is just unstoppable. Rose and Peterson have been non-factors so far, and Bosh has a quiet 8 points 3 boards. Villanueva and Graham are also on their way to having good games. Can the Raptors hold any team to under 20 first quarter points this season?
End of the first half- Mitchell should start checking the classifieds for a new job ... Even with the amount of talent we have on this team we're not getting enough out of it… How can we get blown up out of the gate 2 games in a row & have such a brutal attempt at a starting lineup?
OMG raps always do this first=struggle and than they start coming back mike james is amazing 32 points so far and 4 minutes left looks likes hes once again gonna pass his career high all-star anyone why is rose struggling? he has 0 points

Rose got two offensive fouls in the first three minutes of the game, and sat out the entire first half after that. Five minutes into the second half, he gets two quick fouls, and out he goes again. Also, Joey Graham is playing his best game so far, so it's not much of a toughie to keep Rose on the bench. Looks like Raps will lose this one still though. It's a shame, but when you allow the opponents to score 119, it's pretty tough, especially coming back from 18 down.
is this rudy gay kid good, ive heard alot of talk about him but i dont know, i want to know cause it looks like we are getting him
Man, the Raps have got one big headache with Jalen now. Huge contract and absolute rubbish performances. Wonder if they'll persist or bench him.

Quoting Jerry West:

Man, the Raps have got one big headache with Jalen now. Huge contract and absolute rubbish performances. Jalen scoring 0 points is going to hurt in the locker room. Mike James played terrific today, he was clutch, and really kept the team in the game. Iverson was also amazing obviously, but not as much as MJ. Bosh had a good game too, he didn't do too well down the stretch, but he did make 2 or so shots. Sam Mitchell's starting lineup today was odd...

Quoting Bobcats:

2006-2007 lineup: PG - Calderon SG - Graham SF - Rudy Gay PF - CV31 C - CB4
eh yo... denver is struggling and without nene/injured kmart/camby's injury prone... hopefully we'll land another lotto pick and acquire shelden williams... the man is a beast... Calderon/Gay/Villanueva/Bosh/SWilliams
Rudy gay is amazing however..i would never buy his jersey anywyas--why did Sam start bonner? if he is putting bosh up at C..he should atleast give charlie a chance to start next game's line-up should be: Bosh/Charlie/Mo-Pete/Rose/James
here's my conundrum: charlie V is at least = to donyell marshall; mike james might be better (+) than altson ; joey graham is an upgrade (+) to the bench and caledron is better (+) than palacio so then why are the raptors 0-8? secondly, watching iggy light up the raps tonight reminds me why i dislike babcock so much.

Quoting og15:

Iverson was also amazing obviously, but not as much as MJ.
How so? Not only did AI score more points, his team got the W. I guess when you consider that nobody blinks and eye when AI goes over 40, it's kind of expected of him, then I can see your logic. But props to M.James, the boy did his thing tonight, can't take anything away from him. If he hadn't shown up like this tonight, the Raps lose in a blowout.
