<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">BOSTON ? As Seattle SuperSonics guard Ray Allen lit up the Boston Celtics in the first half of Seattle?s 113-100 victory, a fan behind the Sonics? bench screamed at the Celtics: ?Cover Allen and make Ridnour shoot it.?
The fan had a point. After all, Luke Ridnour had missed his first five shots of the game, and when he missed his sixth straight the fan felt vindicated.

?See,? he yelled, ?let him shoot it all night.?

At halftime, Sonics coach Bob Weiss told Ridnour the same thing.

?We talked to Luke at halftime and told him don?t pass up shots, keep taking them,? Weiss said.

Ridnour did, and he rewarded his coach by making four of his next seven shots, finishing the game with 15 points and tying a career-high with 13 assists.

?Bob has been real good about that with me,? Ridnour said. ?Especially to start the season, I have not shot the ball. But he has told me to keep playing. When your coach tells you to do that, it gives you confidence to perform.?

Ridnour is shooting just 33 percent this season, averaging 9.9 points, fifth on the team. He said he thinks that he was bothered by his struggles in the first few games and the concern built on itself.

But with Ronald Murray and Rick Brunson injured and Antonio Daniels playing in Washington, the Sonics have no choice but to trust that Ridnour will begin to benefit from the work he put in on his jumper this summer.

?I think Luke has grown,? Weiss said. ?He has had some good games. He has grown up, got some experience and however you want to say it I think it will help his confidence.?</div>

I'll have to see it for more than a half to believe he's found his stroke. His shooting was brutal in the fist half.

I think his best shot is a pull up off a screen; his standstill jumper hardly every goes in, at least so far. Unfortunately, those are the ones he'll be getting with Ray drawing the double team.

There's no other way than to get his shot back than to keep shooting it - it will fall sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

Yeah hes been shooting bad, but I think he'll start hitting them mid range jumpers..But he really needs to start hitting those wide open threes, hes missed a couple.
