Rip has gotta make it this year, same with chauncey, i'm not pistons bandwagoner but they've been playing well
<u>East</u> C- Shaquille O'Neal F- Jermaine O'Neal F- LeBron James G- Dwyane Wade G- Allen Iverson West C- Yao Ming F- Tim Duncan F- Kevin Garnett G- Kobe Bryant G- Steve Nash
Why is this released so early? Hardly gives any players a chance to proves themselves. I wont be voting for a while I guess.
Cause most people don't know the ballots are out yet, and because the New Yorkers seem to hype all your players so much, even if they don't deserve it at all.
who cares why it's out so early, take advantage and vote for who you want to see in it and stop your crying
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Run BJM:</div><div class="quote_post">Why is this released so early? Hardly gives any players a chance to proves themselves. So do what they want and vote for Kobe and his 70 shots per game...Shaq who hasnt even played, Tracy Mcgrady and his underchieving Rockets..and dont forget the 7-6 jumpshooter he plays with...the league needs their star power at the game...so make sure you vote more then once. Ballot saturation is a good thing
Who cares shhuuutt up... people vote for their favorite players because thats who they want to see play.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting amador08:</div><div class="quote_post">Who cares shhuuutt up... people vote for their favorite players because thats who they want to see play.</div> True story Besides, we all know the all star game isn't really about who deserves to be there, it's a popularity contest. Anyone who think otherwise is kidding themselves.
Few changes I've noticed: - Vince Carter is listed as G for the first time. - LeBron listed as a F - Tracy McGrady listed as a F - Chris Bosh listed as a F
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting amador08:</div><div class="quote_post">Who cares shhuuutt up... people vote for their favorite players because thats who they want to see play.</div> lol, at you telling people to shut up becuase your a fan of a player that directly profits from such a poor voting system. Dont worry we all know Kobe will be there. And stop with the who cares, stuff..people have complained about the way the NBA does the voting in the past, so its clear some people care even if you dont. But I bet you would care if there was a west guard more popular/ well known then Kobe. Some people like to see a variety, not the same repetive guys every year.

But you know what, what's the point of crying over spilled milk?
Iam definately crying...I understand the process to the fulliest. It has been like that since I can remember..I have seen guys like Penny Hardaway and Grant Hill benefit from this system etc...so it definately not a shocker to me. Run BJM asked the question so I answered and then the other guy must have got tight so he started talking about shut up. As far as all-star goes, I think at this point it is more of an honor to be selected by the coaches. Much more of a sign of respect then how many people know you.
We can all guess what the West starting lineup will be like C- Yao Ming PF-Tim Duncan SF-Kevin Garnett SG-Kobe Bryant PG-Tracy Mcgrady It kinda gets boring and annoying after a while.

Guys like Brand, Bibby, J-Rich, Pau Gasol, Zach Randolph, are hard pressed to get on the team even though alot of the locks arent playing as well or their teams arent playing well (both are supposedly accounted for in determining the all-stars). I'm also getting sick of watching the same people. Its true that they are the best, but guys like McGrady, Kobe, and Garnett arent playing on good teams while Brand, Richardson, and Gasol are playing great on better teams. For years guys have been saying that Brand doesnt make the team because he gets good numbers on a crappy team, its still questionable whether he'll get in this year and other guys easily get on by putting up good numbers on bad teams. I know it is what it is but that doesnt mean we should just accept it happily...

And while I think telling someone to shut up is a little disrespectful, I can understand where he's coming from because I basically made the same point but without the shut up part. I don't have a solution to this "problem" of how all stars are selected because I honestly think that no matter what method is used people are gonna complain about it. That being said, I think it should stay as is.
Yao is NOT a lock for center in the west. Camby's numbers and Okur's numbers are sick. The west Center position has the most intrigue

Brand will probably get in from coach votes. Their's no debate about it, the West F starters are between McGrady, Garnett, and Duncan, and the coaches will vote the other one in. So those 3 get in, then 1 or 2 more F's can make it. Dirk and Brand are the ones that should so far. The only other people to really consider are Gasol and Marion. Poor Carmelo... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Yao is NOT a lock for center in the west. Camby's numbers and Okur's numbers are sick. NBA.com is saying vote for your favourite players, no the most deserving players, Yao is ten times as popular as them, you do know that he beat Shaq in All-Star voting, Camby and Okur have 0 chance of beating him, even if he get's injured.
