Where is everybody this game is huge. Well I dont know how to do any pictures so you'll have to listen to my opinions. The Matchup That Counts PG: Billups v. Terry Terry hasnt been playing Defense as well as Mavs fans hoped, so he's gonna have to step up against the Crafty Billups. If Terry can keep Billups away from getting into a rhythm offensively, my opinion is that Detroit will have to play like last year's Pistons with just Defense. Mavs have a great advantage with the Pistons just coming off a game, and they took care of business when the defending champs came into Dallas after a game. What a day! The Mavs smash the best team in the league (record wise) and I become the Team Leader for this forum - DJ MBenga had 2 fouls in 3 minutes - Diop had 3 blocks in 20 minutes (and 6 rebounds) - Dampier had his best game of the season, outrebounding both Wallace's...combined - We won without Stackhouse, Christie and Van Horn!
We destroyed the Pistons. Howard and Damp came ready to play and the dominated. I hope we can keep this up.
Game Detroit I feel a certain energy with this team that i havnt ever fealt for a mavs team. I went to the game tonight expecting to us lose but we started of great and lead by at least 20 throught the game. Powell had a pretty good game when he came in towards the end getting a highlight reel dunk that had the AAC screaming. Damp had a great game with 16 points, When he wants to play he can but he dosnt have heart for this game wich is very dissapointing, he could be a pretty good center if he tried. Diop continues his beastlyness when he had 2 blocks in 8 minutes. Just reember we won this game without 2 key offensive palyers Van Horn and Stackhouse against a great defensive team. This is a great win and could be the turning point of this very young season. Jason Terry played pretty well and Marquis played very well for us. Devin came in a made a few great shots and my heart goes out to Marshall who i could tell that he was so anxious to take a shot but Terry didnt pass it up when he was open in the corner a few times. We have a deep team even without 3 key players and this will be valuable as the year goes on with injuries and to give palyers rest.

Great win by Dallas, and like Maverick said thats now wins against both of the predicted finals teams.... that will mean a lot for spirit/confidence/experience come playoff time. Nice to see Damp wake up.
Credit to Dallas, the Pistons were clearly tired and Ben was playing hurt which is why Dampier took It to him so bad. Mavs look really good this year. This game was always likely to be the first loss of the season. Was going to be too tough to get the W on the road on a back to back against a great team.
