<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Johnnybrasco:</div><div class="quote_post">You don't undertand whats wrong? he's a point guard and he only got 1 assist you don't think that's a little off. The problem with nate is he's like starbury both want to play the 2. Marbury at 6'2" is too undersized, let alone nate who is 5'7". The best short players were great passeres like mugsy bogues, boykins is a pretty good passer.</div> Nate isnt the old fashioned PG like Nash or Kidd is. Nate's job is to provide a spark, score, and distribute the ball. How many assists do you want from a rookie learning a new position? Nate is a scorer and might always be. He might gain the mentality or it might not. It all depends on Nate. Marbury isnt underssized. He has a perfect pg height just like arenas, nash, etc. 6'2 is a good height for pg. His strength also puts up for the lack of height. Boykins is a good passer but we can all agree that Earl looks for his shot first. Thats what spark players do.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Right now were talking about Robinson. You dont learn to get a point guard's mentality. It's not something that can be taught. You either have it or you dont.</div> That does not make any sense in my opinion. Are you saying that people who play basketball are born with a certain mentality about how to play? You think out of all the NBA players there have ever been or basketball players in general, not one of them has learned a point guards mentaility? If a point guards mentality can't be taught, then how can "you have it or not? I think you can be taught a certain mentality, the way you think about the game.
I dare any of you to knock on Nate the Great now. He hit that beautiful rainbow at the OT buzzer to win the game. I dare you.
He shot 36% with 3 turnovers, he put US in that position, I like Nate scoring, but please at a high percentage, we can't give the opposing team opportunities like that. Nate stepped up in the end, Malik Rose had his first game all season, so I guess that would change everything, right?

Why are u even a knicks fan? Nate played good D on the leading scorer in the NBA. He forced some charges against him also. Nate like LB said won this game for us. He didnt put us in that position. He took us out of it.

Iverson scored with ease all night He scored 40 points shooting 50% with 10 assist, its not like he was shut down, stop saying that, you haven't prove anything by sayign that, you come at me with no facts, at all Listen, I'm happy as hell we won, we needed it, but for you to ride Nate like he's the Pope is ridiculously, and I'm going to say something about it We're still 4-8, of course there isn't going to be alot of positive coming out, don't be so non obvious, but I just want nate to score, I know what he can do, and can't do. What I don't want him doing is jacking up shots on a low FG%, I'm not down for that, we already have Crawford and Richardson to do that I don't "hate" anyone on the Knicks, I don't "hate" people I don't know, stop being childish, I'm just not happy with what Nate has done so far this season, same with Malik Rose, Jerome James, Quiten Richardson, and Maurice Taylor, I'm on good terms with everyone else We're 4-8, what do you expect

Dig up some games during Jordan's rookie season... I'm sure he had plenty of games where he shot 36% with 3 turnovers. You're just nitpicking every god damn thing you can think of. Yeah they're 4 and 8.. but if you look at it like most do here here.. they're 4 and 3 after that 0 and 5 start. Injuries, a new coach, 7 new players, a starting line up constantly changing... a rotation that pretty much has everyone playing in the game... it's all adjustments. Not only that but playing on the road as much as they have early on slows the process down even more. They won but apparently you're so into stats you can't acknowledge a win without saying.. yeah they won but barely..
Yeh, I understand what you mean, I'm just hoping for Nate to be a score spark off the bench, and not try to be on sports center, but just choose the easy shots, and make the game easy for and his pace. Nate tries to dominate on the court, he should take what the defense gives him, I'm not doubting his talents
Nate Statline Vs Heat 26 minutes, 7-12 FG, 2-3 3pt FG, 3 rebounds, 1 TO, and 16 points. Will u bash him for that also?
Put away the Haterade, j0se. The guy is in his first season in the NBA, and he was a mid-late round 1st rounder... and many people had him slated to go in the 2nd round. I don't see why you are expecting him to be an all-star right out of the gate. His game needs polishing right now.. that is obvious. But what is equally obvious is his talent level, intensity, work ethic, and heart. He may not be the MVP of the league this year but give him time at least... Besides... how can you not love this guy?
That was an uncool picture Nate had a very cool game he shot over 50%, very cool. Plus, I doubt you've seen Nate play in the NBA as much I have, its not like I'm lying if Nate shoots a high FG, he'll be the one of the best back up PG's in the NBA.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GotSkillz92:</div><div class="quote_post">The knicks didnt draft him. They traded for him. He came in the Q-rich deal. He still can't finish and he has a bad jumpshot but he'll get better. Being small is hard in the NBA. He has to adjust to the nba game. We cant say that Nate doesnt bring excitement and a spark because he does.</div> the knicks got to chose who the suns would draft w/ that pick
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting babybulls:</div><div class="quote_post">the knicks got to chose who the suns would draft w/ that pick</div> Didnt the Trade happen after he was drafted?

He didnt have a good day shooting wise but he made hustle plays, got charges, and most importantly hit the GW shot. Like we've all been telling you, he's a rookie. Add to that, he's small which makes it even harder to get shots off. Nate in his career wont have a good FG%. He guarded AI all night and held him to 40 points in 5 quarters. AI is a prolific scorer and wouldve scored 40 on anybody. He did contest AI's shots and did make charges. NO1 is going 2 hold AI to under 40 in 5 quarters.( He's a former MVP and 4 time scoring champion. He's also averaging 33 a night.) Youve hated on Steph. Curry. Q. Mo. JJ. Nate. Frye in the offseason. the list goes on.
The whole point of what I said is to give him time and not to judge him now. Yet you replied with his current stats. I give up. BTW - That picture is cool.
Nate's making strides, he had a sweet dime tonight, I think the Knicks are about to roll and start winning ballgames.
