I saw Shawn Kemp at this car-wash place by my house like 5 months ago.... thats really all I can say, hes fat and old, theres really no point in coming back, he had his chance when he was one of the most athletic players in NBA history but he ruined it.
Well this makes a great story for his life. It will be called "The Return that failed". If he succeeds then thats good but I doubt he will average anything more than 6pts.
Isn't it weird how former NBA players always have a chance at coming back, when there are like good young dudes out there playing for small colleges and don't get much of a chace.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">shawn can come play centre for the raptors.</div> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Toronto Sun - Raptors general manager Rob Babcock yesterday said that he may dispatch a scout to have a look at former star NBA power forward/centre Shawn Kemp, who is training for a comeback and has reportedly dropped 55 pounds. Babcock admitted that he also has talked with Kemp's agent about the troubled player's intentions in terms of his planned comeback. However, the GM believes that Kemp, who will turn 36 later this month, probably is not a good fit for the Raptors, even though he was the type of player who brings exactly what Toronto needs: Rebounding ability and size.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives...rs_eyeing_kemp/
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting number99:</div><div class="quote_post">he wihed like 350 pound now he's 300, why did he ruin everything this guy used to be awesome</div> I heard he is 270.
he was just like amare stoudamire......only when he first came in the league he had just a little more basketball savy. Amare will obviously end up being the better player. But Kemp, COULD have been a better PF than malone......
most of you are probably too young to realize how great a player shawn kemp with in the mid 90's he was downright unstoppable probably the best player in the game in 95 and 96 (after Jordan)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting The_Legend_23:</div><div class="quote_post"> probably the best player in the game in 95 and 96 (after Jordan)</div> He was very good, but that's taking it a bit too far (O'neal, Robinson, Olajuwon, Malone all were better).
if he is looking for a championship then get him to sign a 3 year deal with the spurs. They will win one of the next three so he is gona get at least one ring. He can come out like horry did during the playoffs and hit game winners! I reckon he needs da money and wants a championship so one plus one and he wants to play again...
