The Official "We're Not That Good" Thread I'm sorry, but we lost to Atlanta tonight. I recorded the game on my Tivo because I had to work. Luckily, they said the score on the radio on my way home, saving me from sitting through that garbage. The Hawks...yes, the Hawks....shot 55% against us. Seriously, the Hawks shoot worse than 55% in shootaround. Letting them shoot it against us in a game that counts is totally unacceptable. Rebounding? What rebounding? How do we only get 25 total rebounds in a game against Atlanta? And 5 offensive boards to their 14? How does a backup point guard that's 6 feet tall get four times as many rebounds as our starting center does? The only way I could be more upset is if I actually watched the game.
Doc needs to change roatation, Al Jeff and Perk need more minutes, I have thought this since the start of the season, and after every game, i still think the same thing...we cant have Raef and Blount playing significant minutes, especially together...thats wat i think anyway...wats the deal with Perk not gettin much minutes? i mean, doesnt Doc keep saying that he is going to play him more...when? time to start trusting the young guys more i think, let them get more involved, of course, if we were winning, then it would be ok, but we just lost against Atlanta...Doc, change it up, PLEAAAAASE!!!

Al is way better then both of them, and Perkins is deserving of the minutes.
Unfortunately... Since you don't actually watch all of the games there's no way to know that in the East, Raef and Blount (if used well) can actually be very efficient in a running team that shares the ball. The only teams that pose a problem are Indiana, Atlanta and Detroit...look at their big men. Everyone can't have Tim Duncan...One.
I just got back from my Thanksgiving vacation but before leaving, I attended the Hawks/Cs game. Needless to say I left the arena and drove for 12 hrs with no rest because I was so p-ssed. The only player who showed up was PP, everyone else had their mind on turkey. Im not the biggest PP fan but he showed me something that night. When he wants it, he can be one of the best in the league. No one can stop him when he goes all out, driving the lane, outside jumpers, great D, geeting his teammates involved. I dont mess with PP when he starts depending on his outside shot too much, looking disinterested, and letting his immaturity get the best of him. Is it me or doe Mark Blount think he is one of the best centers out there? This cat waits for every rebound to come to him instead oif going after it and his defense is a joke. I read something in the Globe today about Blount saying that he was old school. I couldnt stop laughing because he is an old school flunkie. He sucks. I would take my chances with Adonal Foyle than him. Zsa ZSa Pachiulia who something like that was killing him. Quite frankly, I wouild not let someone named after a Gabor sister, outplay me. Zsa Zsa killed him. I went from Phillips Arena to Camden New Jersey with my middle finger pointed towards the sky screaming "Mark Blount Sucks" at the top of my lungs.
Tough to think that Atlanta not only wasn't a layup, but wasn't even a W. I think we've seen as bad as we'll see from the them this season, all is on the up and up if you ask me. That is, as soon as someone puts "Sad Puppy" Blunt out of his misery. That man couldn't leave this town fast enough if he were drug out tomorrow.
