After Manning & Culpepper is there really a difference in the next 10 fantasy QBs?

Nah... I ended up with Brady, Favre, and Pennington and I couldn't be happier with the depth of experience and skill. I got Brady in late in the 5th, Favre early in the 8th, and Pennington in the 12th.

Ya I have Brady and Brees in my big money league..I'm starting Brady. I wouldn't worry about losing TD's becuase of Dillon though...He still had 28 last year which was top 10 numbers..and I tihnk if our D falls off a little this season you could see him throw for 30...

I'd expect Dillon's numbers to stay the same...except maybe slightly less yardage.

It must be tough though..for you to have to root for the patriots..

I disagree I think Dillon is in for a monster year. But then I drafted him in the 1st round(11th overall) so I'm hoping for big things.

Trent Green and Marc Bulger will put up similar numbers... Kerry Collins "could" put up those kinds of numbers this year.

Brady got drafted higher than Favre? Wow...

Definitely hard to root for the Pats...

Similar to Manning & C-Pep? I don't think so. Palmer, Plummer, Brees & Hasselbeck...they're all in the same class if u ask me. Favre is on the verge of retirement. Brady is young, has better depth at WR & a better OL.

I'd take Brady over Favre in a keeper league, sure. But statistically, Favre should put up way better numbers than Brady this year.

My point about "similar to Manning and Culpepper" kind of works like this... Would you rather take Manning in the first round and get a back like Rudi Johnson or LaMont Jordan in the second or take a back like Tomlinson, Alexander and McGahee in the first round and land Green or Bulger or Collins later on...maybe even third or fourth round?

People who draft Manning or Culpepper can have them... Their team is destined to suffer elsewhere.

Pack... do you really think Favre is going to put up better numbers than Brady this year? I'm curious about your bias on this.

Brady is loaded with WRs. They just traded for Andre Johnson, the cleveland guy that is fast as hell. They go like 6 or 7 deep at WRs this year

Favre may have the better passing yards, but that's about all he'll have over Brady. Oh I forgot INTs. [IMG]

The top 3 or 4 RBs should go ahead of any QB yes, but after them the value drops significantly at RB.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pack... do you really think Favre is going to put up better numbers than Brady this year? I'm curious about your bias on this.</div>

I'm just looking at historical trends...

    2004
    Favre 4088 yards 30 Tds 17 ints
    Brady 3692 yards 28 Tds 14 ints

    2003
    Favre 3361 yards 32 Tds 21 ints
    Brady 3620 yards 23 Tds 12 ints

    2002
    Favre 3658 yards 27 Tds 16 ints
    Brady 3764 yards 28 Tds 14 ints

Brady and Favre have been fairly close over the past few years, but this year with Green Bay's suspect defense and O-Line, I'm guessing they're going to have trouble running the ball and they're going to be playing "catch up" in quite a few games.

If Favre plays all 16 games, you can expect another 4000 yard, 32 TD season.

Brady, on the other hand, will be playing with a lead and a great defense most of the year. Add Corey Dillon to the mix, and you're looking at 3300 yards and 24 Tds...

Just my gut feeling. I'm not being a total "homer" here...

I listed Favre's INTs in the comparison. If you get docked points for INTs, then maybe Brady will have the edge this year. We'll see.

I'm not trying to initiate any kind of pissing match over Favre and Brady here, Bakes. I'm just giving SF my thoughts on the subject.

He (and you) can take 'em or leave 'em.

Brady's three Lombardi trophies give you the upper hand in this particular debate, my friend. [IMG]

if i was a Pats fan i would have been scared for some time there the Raiders looked good in their offense vs teh Pats. But in the end the Pats won and who really expected different? o well maybe next week but definatly when they play the Jets!
