I'm so annoyed, I was all geared up to watch this game (first Mavs game of the season, Australia hates bball)...and they had previews for the Dal-Mia game and all I get home from a friends (after seeing the shootaround) and Milwaukee is playing Minnesota Grrr
I thought tonight was a good road win in the fact that we played the Miami Heat (yet another hyped media-loved team) and we pulled out the win in the face of losing several good sized leads but maintaining composure to play the defense when needed and get scoring from our 2 main players (Dirk and Josh... and did Josh step up!) I like this win better than just blowing them out by 30 because it gave us that extra experience against a hostile home crowd trying to get their team revved up when their team showed life. Memphis is next... of course all division rivals must lose.
Game Miami It feels so good being on a 8 game winning streak....This was a great game for the Mavs tonight beating a great Miami team even though they didnt have Shaq. Josh Howard gets a double double tonight scoring 25 and being the anchor for this team tonight. He has been a great factor for the Mavericks the past few games being very consistent. It is a joke that Josh isnt on the allstar ballot and im wondering why....Dampier has 17 points tonight after a lowsy game before which shows you how inconsistent he really is. This Mavs team is really playing great defense under Avery who is doing a wonderfull job with this team. Former Mav Walker had a terrible game shooting 1-11 i beilive which maked this win that much sweeter. Dallas plays a good team Memphis tomorrow and my guess is that Damp will have a bad game and Marquis having a good game. Tonights player of the game is Josh Howard with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
