Redd is not great in any other statistical category, but he is not simply a selfish shooter who has no ability to do more. It's Redd's job to score for the Bucks, to be a consistent source of offense that can be relied on while other players make the plays (TJ Ford, Mo Williams), clean the glass (Andrew Bogut, Joe Smith, Jamaal Magloire) and provide all around play and defense (Bobby Simmons, Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric). Is Redd mostly a one dimensional player? Yes. He doesn't have the ability to put up Kobe/Ginobili/Pierce all-around stats, but he does what the Bucks want him to do. He is what he is: a scorer. The one thing I would like to see more from him is leadership. He's the best player on the team, and hopefully he can take charge and be a vocal guy for the Bucks. I think he has improved in that area in the last couple years, but there is surely room for improvement.

Redd's job IS to shoot the ball...Ford/Williams pass and handle the rock...Simmons and Gadzuric hustle and defend...Magloire and Bogut handle the rebounding...Redd's job is to shoot and put points on the board, nothing more, nothing less...

Redd always seemed like a good leader to me. I`ve seen him 3 games vs. Philly and coming out of the TO he always is directing guys where to go and just showing how they can complete a play.

I think it's amazing that Redd can score as much as he does, considering that he rarely slashes.

That said, he needs to start contributing to his team in more ways than one.

his primary task is to shoot 3s, then score...then that's about it
that's why milwakee GM got so many frontcourt help this year
