<div class="quote_poster">Quoting igotask8board:</div><div class="quote_post">Throw away the season? You guys are crazy. I don't even consider you guys Rockets fans.</div> Again I said theoretically. The reality of this is that Sura may never come back, and Tracy may reinjure his back if he tries to rush back again. You always want your team to win, and when they aren't its natural to be unable to watch them.
its not basicaly quiting on a season... i just want tracy and everyone else to be healthy and able to play for next season...
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> PS. barry got hurt too.... i can wait another year for a ring... i don't know about yall... but i prefer them to lose alot this year and not make the playoff and get someone like Miles in draft and tracy, barry, alston, bob in full health instead of having tracy hurt all season and off season and bob coming early to play and have another surgery etc... and go to the playoff.... its common sense isn;t it???</div> Oh boy. Remember last season's Chicago team which started off something like 0-9? Who would have thought they would make the fourth seed in playoffs. This is still early in the season and I truly believe we can get something together before we start panicking. Sura I'm already predicting the worst, but McGrady I'm sure will be fine. He's still young so his body heals fast and well. They're just back spasms and nothing too serious so it should be fully healed in a couple weeks at most. Barry might not even be here next year because of his retirement and at this point, isn't as consistent and reliable of a scorer as last year. If everyone had that mentality, players with the mildest of injuries would be on the IL for over a month just to heal up.
Actually, if we manage to make it to the playoffs in one piece, and get 8th seed, it may not be too bad, because if we upset the Spurs, then we can take on the Suns in the Conference Finals. Don't worry guys, just because we don't have a pretty record doesn't mean we won't be a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs. McGrady should be back soon, anyway. Next game we have is with the Hawks, which we should almost expect a victory without McGrady. After the Hawks, we have like a 4-6 day break, we should expect McGrady back by then.

SWIFT isn't officiated correctly. He gets called for dumb fouls, but he is confident in attacking the rim and starts now. As for Wesley...he just realized its a contract year for him and hes picked it up. I feel it! For some reason I'm energized in the fact that Our D is crazy, Yao is passionate about the game and cares about his team and will do anything to win, Tracy Mcgrady is hurt by the teams losing, Wesley and Swift are clicking, Offense is starting to click, and all the critics are against us and just better to prove them wrong. Offense will look so much better when Tracy MCgrady comes back and I'm pretty sure the Rockets will have a comeback like Denver did...Bill Walton will say, "We knew they were good before the season started and because of injuries they weren't doing as well, but here they are now and every team in the West has to deal with them."
I'm with igotask8board and TmacGarnett on this one............You guys are going to regret jumping ship so early. I'm hearing guys saying things like "if we don't make the playoffs" and "the worst team in the west". I'm sitting back and just watching things slowly come together. I actually like the fact we're losing, because it's forcing guys to step up and play extra good early in the season. DA has put together 3 solid games, and Head has been great. Stro shows flashes, but he needs to stay out of foul trouble. Howard has played good in the first half, but just needs more touches in the 4th quarter. Not to mention, with all the losing, we're still in the top 5 in defense. Some of you are overreacting.
I know, and guesss what, here comes McGrady leading Houston 100-85 over the Hawks. Our offense is so much smoother when he is playing. The man does so much its hard to get a win w/o him. I know people say you can't win a championship like that (losing so many games w/o your star player) but then I like to just think of Jordan and the Bulls. They would probably not have a win until today if it were not for Jordan. I thinks its safe to compare MJ w/ T-Mac, because they both have the skills to turn it on whenever needed to.
